But there's another article with lots of real-life anecdotal accounts of how people gave colloidal silver to their pets for various ailments, and you might be able to get some ideas there. See this link: http://thesilveredge.com/colloidal-silver-for-dogs-cats-horses-reptiles-and-other-pets.shtml

In the past, when my own cats have been sick, I've rarely given them more than four eyedroppers full per day of 10 ppm strength colloidal silver. When they're well, I don't give them any at all, unless they're outdoor cats prone to mousing and stuff like that, then I give them an eyedropper full or two, several times a week, just as a precaution. They could not get any from her at vets. It smelled horrid and was runny like gravy. I was told nothing was wrong with it. How could that be runny like gravy and horrid smelling? I have tried other natural stuff i purchased at medical pet supplies on-line to no avail. So I research colloidal silver and found out I can give it to cats. but I never found out how much. My cat is 6 LBs at least that is what her weight was at vet. I'm giving it to her just guessing. The bottle's dropper does not have any measure on it. Yesterday I spent $41 for some medication that stops diarrhea in cats on-line still waiting for it. I gave it(silver) to her 3 days now with only a little improvement. So can you please tell me how much a day for a 6 lb cat? I'm worried I'm not giving enough or to much. Thank you in advance. There are always going to be idiots who use colloidal silver (or other substances) abusively. But that doesn't mean those who use it responsibly shouldn't be able to.

You claim that "It's proven the dosage considered safe for dogs is more than 100 times less than that for humans." I'd like you to document that for me. If you do, and it's authoritative documentation, I'll use it in future updates on using colloidal silver for animals.

I would point out, however, that in the rare circumstances when I've taken my dogs to the veterinarian, and the vet has prescribed drugs, the drugs are generally higher in dosage than a human would take. When I've asked why, the vet has told me dogs have a far higher metabolism than humans and thus need a higher dosage, at least with some of the prescription drugs. I do not know if this carries over to natural substances like colloidal silver. But I've had six rescue dogs in the past 20 years, I've treated all of them with colloidal silver when they had infections, and none of them ever had their tongues turn blue, nor experienced any negative effects from the colloidal silver. Only positive effects were noted.

So again, just because some nutcase uses colloidal silver abusively, whether on himself or on his animals, is not reason to prevent everyone else from using it. It's a crying shame that's happening to your neighbor's dogs, and once more, I implore you, if this is true, to call animal control and report what you've stated here.

Steve Barwickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07609959967400251679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3905061735935929610.post-28287314875902339012014-01-07T11:41:45.651-08:002014-01-07T11:41:45.651-08:00My neighbor has killed 3 of his dogs using colloid...My neighbor has killed 3 of his dogs using colloidal silver. When I did a drop in each eye 3 times in one day my daughter (who was the 1st to get it) was cured the very next morning. I have 7 kids, plus myself and my hubby. Everyone who got it recovered by using the batch of homemade colloidal...except my hubby who is now on his 4th day with it and no signs of it clearing up. I just checked my glass jar after reading this and there is a tiny bit of residue on the bottom of the jar. Does that mean that the batch is useless? Or just less potent? Should we keep using it or is that just pointless? We do not have a generator so I can't just make a new batch right now, that is why I ask. Otherwise I don't know what to do until we can get some more made from our friends. Thanks so much for this article. I assume you mean you're using ...Hi Anonymous,

I assume you mean you're using the colloidal silver topically, on your nails. And I notice you didn't say what kind of colloidal silver you're using, or what concentration (i.e., ppm).

I'm not a doctor, so I can't speak directly to your situation. But I've known plenty of other people who have used colloidal silver topically on their nails for longer than two weeks. And they have not described that condition happening to me.

However, the toenail peeling bothers me. I've never heard of that happening. It makes me wonder if the liquid silver is too strong, and thus too harsh for your particular nails.

If you're using the "toenail condom" technique described in the article, in which the silver is left in contact with the nails all night, maybe it's keeping the silver in contact with your nails too long. I don't know. As an alternative, you might try simply soaking your toenails in colloidal silver for only 20 or 30 minutes a night, instead of using the "toenail condom" technique.

I've had readers in the past who have told me they've soaked their feet in colloidal silver nightly for 20 minutes or so, for up to a month or even longer to successfully deal with toenail fungus, and they never mentioned toenail peeling.

Another thought: you might be better off using a colloidal silver gel product on your nails, instead of liquid colloidal silver. There are some good ones available on Amazon.com, such as ASAP Ultimate Skin & Body Care Gel (contains 24 ppm colloidal silver).

As for not noticing any effects after two weeks of usage, please re-read Diane's comments in the article. She said after using the "toe condom and silver" technique for two weeks, she then stopped, and simply trimmed her toenails as they grew out. And after several months of trimming her toenails, she could see the new toenail growing in was "nice, healthy and pink." But it took a full seven months for the greenish nails to grow completely out, and be trimmed off enough, so that you now see only nice, fresh, pink nail on all of her toes.

I notice the before-and-after photos of Diane's nails on this site are missing. I'll have to check into that. But you can see them at the following website where I have the same article posted: http://www.thesilveredge.com/toenail_fungus.shtml

Regards,
Steve Steve Barwickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07609959967400251679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3905061735935929610.post-30208181081748105912013-11-28T06:42:34.025-08:002013-11-28T06:42:34.025-08:00I began using colloidal silver 2 weeks ago. All I can do, legally, is report in general.

You might want to read the article "Colloidal Silver and Cancer" for some ideas to run past your vet for implementation into your cat's ongoing nutritional protocol. The article can be found here: http://thesilveredge.com/cancer.shtml

I found one of the anecdotal accounts from the article pretty interesting and insightful:

“One of my felines came down with stomach cancer and would spew blood all over her chest. This started about a year and one-half ago. I treated her daily with Colloidal Silver Water 15-21 ppm that I made, dispensed through an eye-dropper with at least 6 eye-dropper doses usually six to eight times daily.

I also gave her 6 eyedropper doses of undiluted Flor*Essence tea before she ate, about six to eight times daily. My cat has a large tumour (fibro sarcoma) on her hind leg that is growing rapidly and the skin is now starting to split and scab. The vets can't do anything for her except pain meds, I have been treating her with holistic formulas for about 3 months which have helped her overall but won't shrink the tumour. A friend just told me about using CS topically on the tumour and I have read some posts of people who have treated animals with cancer. Can I use it topically and internally, and what dosage? I have read you can use higher doses topically. Any advice would be appreciated, I have no other alternatives at this point. Its great to get an honest analysis of all these reports.Research is potentially very biased and you have saved me alot of time doing the analysis myself. I just want to take some colloidal silver! I have taken other herbs such as Withania throughout two pregnancies without any adverse effects, yet there are books which state it is dangerous during pregnancy.
