Silver Heals Liver Damage, Say Researchers

Just when you think you couldn’t possibly be any more wowed over the healing benefits of colloidal silver, another new clinical study comes along demonstrating even more astonishing healing properties.

This time, researchers have demonstrated that mice with liver damage induced by a powerful chemical toxin were almost completely healed of the damage when low doses of silver nanoparticles were given to them.

This new study potentially signals great hope for people suffering from liver damage induced by environmental toxins or other toxic issues. Here’s the details no one else is talking about…

We all know about the dramatic infection-fighting properties of colloidal silver.

We also know that silver helps heal burns as well as wounds and has been used in hospitals for decades for exactly that purpose.

What many people don’t know about, however, are some of the astonishing antioxidant qualities and related healing benefits silver has to offer. For example:

One clinical study demonstrated that silver helps protect damaged blood cells from alcohol poisoning by acting as a powerful antioxidant.

Study: Silver Heals the Liver

From Damage Induced by Toxins

Now, researchers from the Department of Environmental Biotechnology, Bharathidasan University, India, have demonstrated in an animal study that small amounts of silver can help heal the liver damage caused by a particularly harsh liver toxin.

Basically, the study says that when researchers used a very toxic solvent known as CC1(4) to damage the livers of mice, and then gave the mice silver nanoparticles, the silver cured the mice of the vast majority of the liver damage caused by the toxic solvent.

The clinical researchers claimed in their study that at low doses, the silver "was effective in revival of all biological parameters to near normal in all intoxicated groups indicating the curing effects on CC1(4)-induced liver injury."

What’s more, the researchers attribute the amazing healing of the damaged mice livers to silver’s “strong antioxidant effect.”

I looked up the liver toxin known as “CC1(4)” in an online medical dictionary. It said this substance “is particularly toxic to the kidneys and liver; permanent damage to these organs may result from exposure."

So, this study clearly demonstrates another astonishing, but little-known healing benefit of silver.

The researchers were so enthused by their discovery they even called silver “hepato-curative," meaning they feel it cured the liver damage induced by the toxic solvent.

This study, of course, would appear to pretty much put the lie to the charge that silver damages liver function – a charge often found on orthodox medical websites in articles attempting to scare people away from colloidal silver usage.

Preliminary Results

This study should bring much hope to those suffering from liver damage induced by toxicity. Please keep in mind, of course, that the study results are preliminary, and need to be backed up by other studies.

Also keep in mind that this was an animal study, and not a human study. Human studies would need to be conducted to confirm the same benefits in human subjects.

Finally, keep in mind that this study does not mean you can do things to damage your liver, such as take toxic drugs or indulge in excessive drinking and smoking, eat bad foods, etc., and expect silver to heal the damage being caused to the liver on an ongoing basis.

And perhaps most importantly, please keep firmly in mind that very small doses of silver were used on the mice in this study. Why is that so important?

It’s important because overly-large dosages of colloidal silver, taken on a regular basis, for long periods of time, can actually put more stress on a damaged liver or damaged kidneys, since those are the main organs through which silver is processed and eliminated from the human body.

So, theoretically speaking, overly-large ongoing dosages of colloidal silver could have the opposite effect of what researchers found in the study.

After all, there’s no substance on the face of the earth, no matter how healing it might be in small, common-sense dosages, that’s completely safe to use on a regular ongoing basis at overly-high levels.

Silver Iodide Cloud Seeding and Environmentalist Hysteria

Environmentalists continue to claim that antimicrobial silver used in consumer goods and products such as colloidal silver pose an imminent threat to the environment, and must be banned before they cause an ecological catastrophe that could wipe out numerous forms of life.

Yet the governments of the world – with the United States leading the pack – have been routinely spraying the environment with literally TONS of silver for nearly six decades, in their ongoing cloud-seeding programs. And you don’t hear a howl of protest from the environmental crowd over this relatively humungous amount of silver that’s been entering the environment for nearly 60 years.

Why not? Could it be because there’s been no documented harm whatsoever to wildlife or the environment from the silver being sprayed into the atmosphere which in turn falls back to the very earth it originally came from?

Here’s the story you won’t hear anywhere else…

According to The Silver Institute Newsletter (May 2016), during the recent California drought, Los Angeles government officials admitted they ran a cloud-seeding program that produced an estimated 15% more rainfall during the month of March, 2016.

In cloud-seeding, billions of silver iodide particles are sprayed into the clouds either from the air or from a ground-based system that shoots silver iodide vapor up into the clouds.

Water vapor then freezes on the tiny, air-borne silver iodide particles, which produces rain drops. And the rain drops bring the silver iodide particles back to the ground.

Millions of Cloud-Seeding Operations

The U.S. government has been indiscriminately spraying silver iodide -- a combination of silver nitrate and potassium iodide -- over the country since the 1960's (and even before) in cloud-seeding programs designed to increase rainfall.

Yet you never hear the radical anti-silver environmentalists complaining about the massive amounts of silver being dumped directly into the environment during the course of cloud-seeding programs of the past nearly 60 years.

Indeed, every state in the United States has developed and implemented cloud-seeding programs. (This, by the way, is unrelated to so-called “chemtrail” spraying.)

For example, according to George Bomar, manager of the Texas Weather Modification Program, of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, during drought-stricken times such as those experienced over the past few years, cloud-seeding programs utilizing silver iodide are flown up to a dozen times a month.

And in Texas they’ve been spraying silver iodide into the clouds at that rate for “about 10 years now.”

What's more, more than 50 other nations worldwide have instituted weather modification programs that use silver iodide and salt-related chemicals for cloud-seeding programs, resulting in literally millions of silver iodide cloud-seeding operations since the 1960’s.

Started in the 1940s

In fact, cloud-seeding actually started back in the late 1940’s when Dr. Bernard Vonnegut (brother of the late science fiction author Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.) first discovered how effective silver iodide is when used as an ice-forming nucei in clouds.

Since that time, the process has been gradually perfected. And weather modification companies like Atmospherics, Inc., North American Weather Consultants, Inc., and Weather Modification Incorporated, which specialize in cloud-seeding programs, are hired by governments to conduct cloud-seeding operations.

Here in the United States, these programs are often administered by the various utility companies and paid for – usually, unknowingly -- by you and I, the consumers, through “public purpose program surcharges” on our utility bills.

Cloud-seeding experts say that in spite of literally millions of silver iodide cloud-seeding operations undertaken since the 1960’s when governments began using the technology more frequently, the silver iodide disperses over such a wide area it has no significant negative effects on the environment.

Indeed, a 2013 study by Swiss scientists found that upon being returned to the environment, tiny, man-made silver particles such as those found in commercial products (such as antimicrobial clothing, food storage containers or computer keyboards) are “rendered inactive” thanks to silver’s natural tendency to bond with other elements in the environment such as salts and sulphur. It simply returns to the environment where it's sequestered by other elements and returned to its natural state.

How Mother Nature

Makes Its Own Antimicrobial Silver

Meanwhile, the radical anti-silver environmentalists continue to scream bloody murder over the supposed "dangers" of the use of antimicrobial silver in consumer products, such as socks, shirts, sheets, food storage containers, computer keyboards and yes, even liquid colloidal silver products.

They now claim – breathlessly -- that because of the widespread use of antimicrobial silver in consumer products, silver residue is now being found throughout the environment – even in remote areas of the world -- and as such poses an imminent threat to microbial life forms that the environment depends upon.

Of course, what the environmentalists are actually finding are not silver nanoparticles from consumer products, but instead, remnant silver particles from cloud-seeding operations that are carried on the winds to remote areas.

But even if the environmentalists were indeed finding silver nanoparticles from consumer products in the environment, it’s still a moot issue.

After all, as I’ve pointed out many times before, “Mother Nature” knows how to sequester and neutralize active silver particles by bonding them to other substances such as salts, sulfur compounds and more.

The silver particles then become inert, gradually reverting to harmless elemental silver which, of course, has been part of the environment since the dawn of time.

But – and this is quite interesting -- “Mother Nature” can also reverse the process as well, creating brand new active silver particles from inert elemental silver.

Indeed, “Mother Earth” does so by using substances such as humic acid from dead and decaying plant matter to cause elemental silver to leach silver ions and convert them into silver nanoparticles. (Learn more: Is “Mother Earth” Making Her Own Colloidal Silver?)

And these active silver particles, in turn, once again bond to salts, sulfur compounds and other substances in the environment, gradually reverting back to inert and harmless elemental silver.

In other words, it’s an ongoing process – what you might call a “circle of life” of silver nanoparticles -- and it’s been taking place in the environment, over and over again, quite literally since the dawn of time.

Yes, earth has been manufacturing its own silver nanoparticles – quite prolifically -- for eons, with no harm to the environment whatsoever.

Much Ado, About Nothing

This is what the radical, anti-silver environmentalists don’t want you to know as they spread their fear-mongering campaigns against the use of silver nanoparticles in consumer goods and colloidal silver products to the gullible public (see Environmentalists Claim Silver Usage Is “Killing the Planet”).

They try desperately to frighten people into supporting their much-wanted ban on the use of antimicrobial silver in consumer goods such as clothing, food storage containers, computer keyboards, and more.

And they even demand that the government should ban all colloidal silver nutritional supplement products, claiming that small particles of silver found in such products could “eventually work their way into the environment and cause a cascade of problems.”

Well, silver has already been in the environment for eons. Even the world’s oceans contain millions of tons of trace silver, yet they’re teaming with abundant life, both plant and animal alike.

And finally, as we’ve seen in this article, the governments of the world have been spraying tons of silver into the atmosphere for nearly 60 years now, with no documented harm to the environment whatsoever.

So at this point it should be abundantly clear that the shrill and hysterical cries of the anti-silver environmentalists amount to what Shakespeare called “Much ado about nothing.”

Silver Underwear Keeps the Funk Off Your Junk

Last year I posted a short video and article explaining how the British Army was now issuing their troops silver-impregnated underwear.

The original idea was to help reduce incidences of jock itch and crotch rot among troops in out-of-the-way locales where bathing and general cleanliness might be difficult.

But it turned out the silver-impregnated underwear also to help cut back on the amount of laundry needing to be done by the troops, allowing them to wear their underwear for up to a week at a time without the usual stench developing.

Now, a Danish fashion company is taking the concept one step forward, and developing fashionable antimicrobial “silver-threaded cotton underwear” to sell to the general public.

According to a news report in Ars Technica, the new underwear are called SilverTech, and they’re being manufactured by a company called Organic Basics. They wrote:

“The company has designed ‘silvered’ cotton drawers that protect the groin and bum from being invaded by stinky microbes.

The light-weight shields have such potent antimicrobial powers that they can fend of funk even after being worn for a week straight, the designers say.”

For protective underwear, Organic Basics added polyester fibers with a chemically bonded coating of silver into their organic cotton boxer briefs.

The threads can kill off 99.9 percent of microbes brewing in your bottom, the company says.

In addition to the antimicrobial properties, the underwear can also help regulate body temperature because of silver’s thermal conductivity.

Organic Basics says that the underwear is “elegant. It’s comfortable. It’s odorless. It’s the future of underwear.” The company is raising funds for manufacturing the boxers, as well as T-shirts and socks, on Kickstarter.

On the website ecouterre.com, another article reveals the fact that Organic Basics has specifically decided not to use silver nanoparticles embedded into the fabric (which ostensibly can wash out after a few washes), but instead, they’ll be weaving the cotton fabric with actual threads coated with 99.9% pure silver, so the silver won’t wash out of the clothes. They write:

“Sound too good to be true?

The secret lies with the garments’ infused silver fibers, which are 99.9 percent pure and are permanently bonded to the fabric, meaning they won’t slough off in the wash or get absorbed by sweaty skin.

‘We have actively chosen not to work with silver nanoparticles that will wash out after just a few washes,’ Organic Basics said.”

The news article goes on to quote Organic Basics as saying:

“’By working with natural elements such as pure silver and organic cotton, we’ve created a fabric that enhances the capabilities of your skin; keeping you warm when it’s cold and cooling you down when it’s warm, at the same time, helping your body control micro-bacterial growth and kill the unwanted bacteria.”

The company claims that while product longevity is what makes their new underclothing different from clothing that merely embeds silver nanoparticles into clothing fiber, they say the need for less frequent laundering will help with water conservation efforts, as well. They write:

“Wth SilverTech we have been working with pure silver and long-fiber organic cotton creating a high-quality fabric made to last 10-plus years and with active silver-controlling microbial growth potentially bringing down machine washes by 50 percent…Goodbye to ‘fast fashion’ and goodbye to planned obsolescence.”

High Public Demand

The Danish company says they’ll be offering three types of silver-threaded underwear, i.e., socks, underpants and T-shirts.

What’s fascinating to me is that their Kickstarter campaign to raise money for manufacturing the clothing has already demonstrated extremely high public demand.

In fact, while Organic Basics was looking to raise only $38,424 from their Kickstarter campaign to begin their manufacturing, they’ve already raised $71,730 – nearly twice their initial goal!

Of course, it might be difficult to obtain these new silver-threaded fashion undies in the U.S., since every time an American company tries to come out with antimicrobial silver-laced clothing, environmentalists groups sue the EPA to put a stop to the manufacturing, claiming the silver might “harm the environment.”

Of course, silver came from the environment in the first place, so the claim is ludicrous at face value. Yet environmentalist groups are quick to use their high-powered legal teams to stop the EPA from okaying the manufacturing of such silver-laced clothing in the U.S.

So if you’re interested in obtaining a pair of silver-threaded, microbe-busting, odor-fighting socks, underwear or T-shirts, you might have to order from the Danish company’s website at this link: Organic Basics.

You can also join the crowd and help fund Organic Basics Kickstarter campaign. Unfortunately, the campaign only lasts until June 2, 2016. Unfortunately, Organic Basics does not yet appear to have a women’s sock, underwear and T-shirt product line – just men. I guess we men are the stinky gender. But you’d think an enterprising company like this would nevertheless come out with a women’s line of undergarments, as well.

Or, You Can Just Do-It-Yourself, for Pennies

Here’s an interesting idea: You don’t have to spend $20 or $30 or more for a pair of fashionable silver-threaded underwear if all you want is just a little bit of extra disinfection and antimicrobial protection for the clothing that covers your armpits and private parts.

One of the simplest things you can do for added disinfection of your underclothing, for example, is to add an ounce or two of colloidal silver to the rinse cycle of your laundry every time you wash your undies.

The added colloidal silver will disinfect your underwear and help keep the stinky armpit and crotch microbes at bay while you’re wearing them.

In fact, in addition to adding an ounce or two of colloidal silver to the rinse cycle of your laundry when doing your underwear, they do it also when washing your bed sheets, dish rags and bathroom towels, for exactly the same purpose, i.e., the added disinfection.
