Silver Nanoparticles Stop Cancer Without Toxic Harm

In a 2010 study conducted by researchers from the Department of Biotechnology, Division of Molecular and Cellular Biology, at Kalasalingam University in India, researchers found that silver nanoparticles caused Dalton’s lymphoma cancer cells to self-destruct, reducing tumor progression and increasing lifespan in the animals tested.

What’s more, the cancer cells were caused to self-destruct without any toxic harm to surrounding cells or organs, putting the lie to the propaganda claims from silver detractors that “silver harms normal cells.” 

This, of course, isn’t the first time researchers have found silver to be safe and effective against cancer cells.  And thankfully, research into silver as an anti-cancer agent is continuing.  Here’s what researchers were able to discover in this particular study…

In this study, titled “Anti-tumor Activity of Silver Nanoparticles in Dalton’s Lymphoma Ascites Tumor Model,” published in September 2010 the International Journal of Nanomedicine, researchers confirmed the antitumor properties of silver nanoparticles against a form of cancer called Dalton’s lymphoma, and suggested they may be a cost-effective alternative in the treatment of cancer.

Lymphoma is a cancer of the immune system (specifically the lymphatic system).  It largely affects white blood cells called lymphocytes.  Dalton’s lymphoma is a T-lymphocyte lymphoma, meaning it’s a cancer of white blood cells called T-cells.  

This particular cancer is characterized by its highly invasive nature and its immunosuppressive properties, meaning it rapidly wears down the immune system as it spreads. 

Cancer Tumors Regressed

The researchers tested the silver nanoparticles against Dalton’s lymphoma ascites tumor model both in vitro (i.e., test tube study on cancer cells) and in vivo (i.e., in a mouse study in which cancer tumors were induced in the test animals).

According to the researchers, in the mouse study the silver nanoparticles were demonstrated to significantly reduce tumor progression and increase the lifespan of the mice compared to the control group. 

The researchers found “a substantial decrease in cancer cell numbers in the treated tumor mice.”  They also found that “AgNPs (i.e., silver nanoparticles) had a significant inhibitory effect on tumor cell proliferation.”

In other words, the silver nanoparticles both reduced the number of cancer cells in the treated mice, and significantly inhibited the reproduction of new cancer tumor cells.

The researchers also concluded, “The effect of AgNPs in increasing mean survival time and life span depends on their ability to reduce tumor cell viability and induce cytotoxicity.” 

This means the researchers found that the silver nanoparticles increased the survival time and life-spans of the tumor-afflicted mice by causing the cancer tumor cells to become unable to maintain their growth rate.  Instead, the tumor cells began to self-destruct.      

Cancer Tumor Cells Self-Destructed

As the researchers further noted, cancer cells don’t grow old and die like normal cells. 

Instead, due to metabolic problems or genetic problems, cancer cells proliferate, meaning they start spreading out-of-control.  “The prime feature of tumor development is the escape of cells from programmed cell death due to a metabolic abnormality or genetic mutation.” 

The researchers went on to say, “Thus, another criterion for anticancer drug development is the ability of a compound to induce apoptosis in cancer cells.” 

This means for an anti-cancer drug to be effective, it has to cause cancer cells to quit spreading and to self-destruct, instead.

The researchers concluded, “This ability has been shown for AgNPs in the present study.” 

In other words, the researchers demonstrated that in the case of Dalton’s Lymphoma cancer tumor cells, the silver nanoparticles did indeed cause the cancer cells to stop spreading, and instead, self-destruct.

Silver Non-Toxic to Normal Cells!

Another interesting thing the researchers found was that the silver nanopartilces were non-toxic to normal cells:

“These data highlight the nontoxic effect of AgNPs, which did not induce any alteration in hematologic parameters for treated mice in comparison with controls…”

In other words, while the silver nanoparticles caused the cancer cells to self-destruct and the tumors to shrink, they didn’t cause any harm to normal blood cells or to related blood-forming organs. 

The researchers concluded:

“AgNPs serve as antitumor agents by decreasing progressive development of tumor cells.  This may be due to their inhibitory activities in several signaling cascades responsible for the development and pathogenesis of the disease which are as yet not understood.”

The researchers admit they don’t know how silver nanoparticles work their magic in decreasing the development of new tumor cells.  They just know the silver nanoparticles did indeed work. 

“Taken together, or data suggest that AgNPs can induce cytotoxic effects on DLA cells, inhibiting tumor progression and thereby effectively controlling disease progression without toxicity to normal cells.”

That’s the clincher. 

What the researchers demonstrated, in a nutshell, is that the silver nanoparticles caused the blood cancer cells to self-destruct, which in turn resulted in inhibition of tumor progression and control of the progression of the cancer.  And it did so without harming normal cells.

This finding clearly puts the lie to the oft-made claim of toxicity to normal cells made by detractors of colloidal silver. 

What’s more, it verifies the findings of antimicrobial silver researchers such as Dr. Robert O. Becker M.D., who way back in the late 1970’s found that silver caused no harm to normal human cells, even when it was generated directly into open wounds and tissues using low-voltage electricity.

Final Important Note

I’m reporting on this clinical study because a.) It involves silver, and b.) It represents an important advance in understanding of the potential benefits of silver as an anti-cancer substance.

But I want to make it clear that in no way does this study mean silver has been proven to be a “cancer cure.” 

First of all, the study was conducted in the test tube, as well as in the mouse model.  It was not conducted in humans.  It therefore represents merely a preliminary step in the study of silver as a potential anti-cancer agent. 

There’s much more clinical work to be done in order to a.) Confirm these results, b.) Learn more about how silver causes cancer cells to self-destruct, and c.) Learn how to use this knowledge to treat humans with cancer.

Silver Kills Some Cancer Tumors Better Than Chemotherapy, Says British Researchers

Will colloidal silver be the next new breakthrough in the war on cancer?

Back in the 1970’s and ‘80’s, Dr. Robert O. Becker, M.D., best-selling author of The Body Electric and renowned pioneer researcher into the healing benefits of electrically generated silver ions conducted the first ground-breaking research demonstrating the effectiveness of silver against cancer cells.

Since then, very little clinical research into silver’s use as an anti-cancer agent has been conducted. But out of the blue over the past several years, a small handful of new clinical studies demonstrating silver’s effectiveness against cancer cells and tumors have been published.

And just recently, British researchers have announced another new study demonstrating the surprising effectiveness of silver against cancer tumors. Here’s the story that’s being overlooked by the U.S. news media…

On February 2^nd, the Daily Mail – one of Britain’s most popular newspapers – ran a surprisingly positive article on a new study demonstrating the use of silver to be effective against cancer tumors.

The headline of the article read:

Silver bullet for cancer: Metal can kill some tumors better than chemotherapy with fewer side effects

And the article began like this:

“Silver can kill some cancers as effectively as chemotherapy and with potentially fewer side effects, new research claims.

Scientists say that old wives tales about the precious metal being a ‘silver bullet’ to beat the Big C could be true.

The metal already has a wide range of medicinal uses and is a common antiseptic, antibiotic and means of purifying water in the third world.

And British researchers now say that silver compounds are as effective at killing certain cancer cells as a leading chemotherapy drug, but with potentially far fewer side-effects.”

Of course, the side effects of chemotherapy drugs can be unbearably harsh. In fact, sometimes it’s the devastatingly toxic effects of chemotherapy drugs that end up killing the cancer victim before the cancer does.

So to see medical researchers now looking into silver as an anti-cancer agent – with the understanding that its safety profile is so much better than the toxic and often debilitating chemotherapy drugs – is indeed very heartening.

The Daily Mail article went on to say that silver’s widespread use in consumer products has already demonstrated its safety:

“The [researchers] compared it to Cisplatin, currently used to treat a wide variety of cancers, but known to have harsh side effects including nausea, vomiting and even kidney damage.

Silver is used already in everyday products such as deodorant with no known side-effects, and could make for a potentially cheaper alternative to platinum-based Cisplatin.”

As the article further explained, the researchers are using a variety of silver-based chemical compounds in their studies, but they are honing in on the silver ions released by those compounds as the agent that actually kills the cancer:

“Researchers from the University of Leeds conducted lab tests which exposed breast and colon cancer cells to various silver-based chemicals over a six day period.

Results, published in journal Dalton Transactions, showed that these silver-compounds were ‘as effective as Cisplatin’ at killing cancer with potentially fewer side effects.

While the team are still unsure about how exactly silver battles cancer, they think its effectiveness may be caused by the structure surrounding silver atoms, known as its ligand.

They think this may help release the silver ion into cells when it enters the body, killing any cancer.”

All told, that’s probably the most positive article on silver the mainstream news media has published in recent years!

So it’s very heartening to see this kind of information on the healing benefits of silver being published by the mainstream media –

-- even if it is in the stodgy British media, and not here in the U.S. where the environmentalist’s sensationalistic and misguided campaign against silver is getting all of the attention.

More Interesting Studies…

Last year, in my article Colloidal Silver and Cancer, I wrote about several more of the most recent clinical lab studies demonstrating that nanosilver and colloidal silver are effective against certain types of cancer cells and tumors.

Dr. Robert O. Becker’s Unusual Discovery…

Of course, it was way back in the 1970’s and ‘80’s that Dr. Robert O. Becker, M.D., the famous pioneering researcher into the healing benefits of electrically generated silver ions…

…first discovered that under the right circumstances silver can actually change cancerous cells back into healthy cells.

In his laboratory, Dr. Becker generated silver ions directly into a cancer cell culture, using a machine very much like a modern colloidal silver generator that produced small, positive micro-amp currents of electricity.

Dr. Becker was able to cause the cancer cells to dedifferentiate, meaning they reverted to healthy primitive stem cells.

These healthy primitive stem cells could then renew themselves through mitotic cell division and re-differentiate into specialized cell types.

In other words, if new heart cells were needed, they would become heart cells. If new prostate cells were needed, they would become prostate cells. And so on.

As Dr. Becker stated in chapter 8 of his bestselling book, The Body Electric:

“…we found that we could suspend mitosis in the fibrosarcoma cells with silver ions injected by minute levels of positive current.

During one day of exposure, the cells appeared to dedifferentiate completely, and they stopped dividing for a month without additional treatment, even though we changed the nutrient medium regularly.

Obviously, this entire subject needs to be investigated more thoroughly.”

This means the cancer cells not only stopped dividing and spreading, but they also changed to non-cancerous cells.

Becker also stated, in his second best-selling book, Cross Currents, that a patient of his had a full recovery from cancer using this very same treatment:

“…we did find that some human cancer cells in culture appeared to dedifferentiate when exposed to these silver ions.

I also had a patient with a severe, chronic bone infection who had an associated cancer in the wound.

He refused amputation, which would have been the treatment of choice, and insisted that I treat his infection with the silver technique.

After three months, the infection was under control, and the cancer cells in the wound appeared to have changed back to normal.

When I last heard from him, eight years after the treatment, he was still fine.

Dr. Becker went on to explain that the key to his success in stopping cancer cells from dividing and spreading was in generating the silver ions directly into the cancer cells using very low currents of electricity.

As Dr. Becker further stated in his book Cross Currents:

“It is important to realize that this is not simply an electrical effect, but the result of the combined action of the electrical voltage and the electrically generated silver ions. It is an electrochemical treatment.

While we do not have firm evidence at this time, what probably happens is that the silver ion is shaped so as to connect with some receptor group on the surface of the cancer-cell membrane.

After that connection is made, an electrical-charge transfer sends a signal to the nucleus of the cancer cell that activates the primitive-type genes, and the cell dedifferentiates.

In that state it awaits instructions as to what it is to become.

…in this case the dedifferentiation is caused by the unexpected action of the positive silver ions.

This technique obviously requires more study before any clinical use can be made of its antitumor effect.

However, it does appear to be a promising lead in an otherwise rather grim picture."

So, while Becker’s method of using silver to cure cancer is quite different than what current medical researchers are doing…

…in that current researchers are using silver to kill cancer cells, whereas Becker used silver to revert cancer cells back to healthy cells…

…the very idea that silver could be effective against cancer has been around for a long time, and Dr. Becker is largely responsible for it.

Unfortunately, medical science unceremoniously dropped the ball on such research for well over 30 years since Becker’s original discoveries in the 1970’s and ‘80’s.

An Idea Whose Time Has Come

But that’s what’s so exciting about seeing these more recent clinical studies being conducted on silver and cancer.

In spite of the fact that modern researchers seem to be a bit late to the table, the use of silver as a safe, reliable, low-side effect cancer treatment is definitely an idea whose time has come.

As the author of the new study written up in the Daily Mail newspaper pointed out:

“This could lead to a cheaper, less toxic alternative to current treatments for cancer.

…As many are unfortunately aware, chemotherapy can be a very grueling experience for the patient.

Finding effective, yet non-toxic drugs is an ongoing problem, but these preliminary results are an important step in solving it.”

It’s certainly another fascinating line of research into the long suspected anti-cancer effects of silver.

And we can only hope the researchers continue with this line of medical research, for the benefit of all mankind.

Colloidal Silver and Cancer

Recent clinical research utilizing silver nanoparticles against cancer cells has demonstrated that there just might be something to the myriad of anecdotal stories for silver’s oft-claimed but as yet unproven cancer-fighting properties…

Here’s some potentially good news for cancer patients.

Two recent clinical studies have looked at the idea of using silver nanoparticles as a method to shrink cancer tumors.

You can read about one of them here. And another one here.

These studies are fascinating, because they demonstrate that if doctors can get enough silver to the site of a cancer tumor, they can potentially shrink or even kill the tumor.

Indeed, according to the first study, which was conducted on tumor-bearing mice, silver nanoparticles (referred to as AgNPs) showed "dose-dependent cytotoxicity" against cancer cells.

In other words, the silver nanoparticles flat out killed the cancer cells when high enough levels of silver came into contact with them.

What's more, there was no acute or chronic toxicity, and no negative effects on the blood or biology of the mice.

And elevated white blood cell and platelet counts were actually brought to normal. Tumor volume shrank dramatically.

The study authors concluded, "These findings confirm the antitumor properties of AgNPs [i.e., silver nanoparticles – ED], and suggest that they may be a cost-effective alternative in the treatment of cancer and angiogenesis-related disorders."

The second study, this one a test tube study conducted on breast cancer cells, produced similar results.

In fact, it concluded, “Colloidal silver had dose-dependent cytotoxic effect in MCF-7 breast cancer cells through induction of apoptosis.”

Once again, that simply means if you put enough colloidal silver into direct contact with the breast cancer cells, it kills them.

Different Than Dr. Robert O. Becker’s Method

This is quite different than the method employed by Dr. Robert O. Becker, M.D. back in the 1980’s.

Dr. Becker generated very minuscule amounts of silver into a cancer cell culture, using tiny positive micro-amp currents of electricity.

He was able to cause the cancer cells to dedifferentiate and revert to stem cells, which could then renew themselves through mitotic cell division and re-differentiate into healthy specialized cell types.

In other words, if new heart cells were needed, they became heart cells. If new prostate cells were needed, they became prostate cells. And so on.

As he stated in chapter 8 of his bestselling book, The Body Electric:

Killing the Cancer v/s Reverting Cancer Cells

Unfortunately, the current method discussed in the two above-referenced studies is much cruder than Becker’s. The researchers are simply putting so much nanosilver into contact with the cancer cells that it induces apoptosis, which means cell death.

This is typical orthodox medicine mentality when it comes to cancer. You don’t heal the body of the cancer. You jump in and kill the cancer.

It’s kinda like your local bug spray guy. He doesn’t tell you that removing the excess brush and bushes growing alongside your house will help keep the bugs away. He just comes and sprays poison around your home every week, and charges you money for it.

Of course, I'd much prefer Dr. Becker's method, which he was developing at Syracuse Medical University back in the 1980's, until his funding was mysteriously pulled and he was never allowed to finish his clinical work. (See his books for more information on this, i.e., The Body Electric and Cross Currents.)

But at least the current method under study is demonstrating that colloidal silver can, indeed, kill cancer cells – another wonderful feather in the cap for safe, natural silver!

And the really good news is this: One day it might just replace toxic chemotherapy, radiation therapy and perhaps even surgery, saving millions of cancer victims every year globally!

FDA and Cancer Claims

These two studies should go quite a way toward opening the doors to additional research –

-- and perhaps even spurring the FDA to back off on some of its rhetoric against using silver for serious diseases such as cancer.

After all, for years now they FDA has complained vociferously that "unscrupulous" colloidal silver vendors have touted colloidal silver as a "cancer cure."

Now, with these two clinical studies, there’s a little more ammo available for that claim.

However, it is important to note that oral ingestion of colloidal silver could not possibly deliver to a tumor site the levels of silver used in these studies.

More than likely, a specially prepared isotonic solution of silver nanoparticles would have to be injected directly into key areas of the tumor site, probably repeatedly, over long periods of time, until the cancer cells were obliterated.

This would require skilled professionals utilizing modern monitoring technologies such as CT imaging or MRI or other imaging techniques, so the administering physicians could track the results and strategically administer the therapy to the precise areas needed.

Nevertheless, it is quite interesting that medical science appears to be moving in this direction. And it is my sincere hope that one day medical researchers will develop a successful protocol allowing silver to be used for this purpose.

It would certainly be a Godsend for cancer victims.

Oral Colloidal Silver Use, and Cancer

In spite of the fact that oral use of colloidal silver could not possibly get the concentrations of silver needed to a specific tumor site, such as a breast tumor –

-- there nevertheless have been some fascinating testimonials over the years from people who have enjoyed "spontaneous remissions" of their cancer after starting a regimen of oral colloidal silver.

For example, I’ve spoken with one reader of The Ultimate Colloidal Silver Manual who swears* he cured his confirmed case of prostate cancer by drinking copious amounts of micro-particle colloidal silver.

He later purchased a Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator and sent it to his brother in Ireland, who also had prostate cancer. And he says his brother was cured, too, using the same protocol he had followed.

In short, they both drank ungodly amounts of the micro-particle colloidal silver (a quart a day for a month) -- which I would never recommend to anyone due to the distinct possibility of ending up with argyria (i.e., skin staining).

But as this very personable Irish gentleman put it to me at the time, in his classic Irish accent, "And my choices were what, me boy? Dying from cancer, or getting gray skin? I'll take the risk of the gray skin over the other, any day."

Well, the reality is he had other options, such as conventional medical treatment.

But he was adamantly against the recommended conventional medical protocol, as his doctor had told him he could end up impotent, and in a worst case scenario may even end up needing to have certain pertinent body parts surgically removed.

So he chose on his own volition to at least temporarily forego the conventional medical treatment, in favor of trying the colloidal silver first.

And it apparently worked for him, as well as for his brother in Ireland.

Of course, that’s not something I could ever advise anyone to do. Why?

Because if the colloidal silver treatment didn’t work, then valuable time may have been lost that could have been used to stop the spread of the cancer through conventional medical means before it went too far to be arrested.

But this bold and self-reliant individual made up his own mind, and it apparently worked out splendidly for him, as well as his brother!

More Cancer Remissions After Using Oral Colloidal Silver*

There’s also an individual on the Colloidal Silver Secrets Group on Facebook who has used colloidal silver in conjunction with other powerful natural supplements and regimens, to cure some pretty serious cases of cancer.

Here are several of his fascinating stories, taken with permission from the Colloidal Silver Success Stories* web site:

“I’ve seen numerous cases of cancer cured through natural means, and in my experience the colloidal silver water needs to be an integral part of any naturopathic cancer treatment protocol. Examples:

A friend of mine's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in Florida. Before starting any treatments, the oncologists wanted to wait and see how quickly or slowly it would develop so they could choose the best of allopathic treatments for it.

Her husband, my friend, called me immediately after diagnosis, and I told him we were not going to wait one more second to work on helping her. Her mother had died previously from breast cancer so she was very fearful of what might happen to her.

I have a lot of different alternative protocols for going after different types of cancer.

Because these folks were used to "regular" medical doctors and allopathic philosophy, I chose two simple forms of "treatment' because I didn't want to overload their circuits with an abundance of possible protocols.

I suggested that she use the 7-10 ppm colloidal silver water and drink it often in between meals on a daily basis - a few ounces at a time.

I also suggested she purchase Flor*Essence tea (the best formula of Essiac tea that I'm aware of) and with 2 ounces of stove-top heated (not microwaved) pure spring water (no chlorinated water whatsoever!) or distilled water, mix with 2 ounces of Flor*Essence tea and drink that an hour before each meal and before retiring.

She adopted those two protocols religiously and with great discipline followed it for six months.

In six months, she returned to her oncologist for scans and possible treatment. To his and her surprise, the cancer was gone. The oncologist told her: "I don't know what you're doing, but keep doing it."

Upon returning home, she called me in tears of joy to let me know the cancer was gone. I was so excited for her that it brought tears to my eyes, too.

That was six years ago, and for maintenance, she still drinks colloidal silver water and a cup or two of her Flor*Essence tea, daily.”

Another Example*

Here’s another example, cited by the same gentleman:

“One serious case of cancer I came into contact with was with a friend's brother who had cancer of the kidney and was scheduled to have it surgically removed in four weeks.

I explained that I didn't know if I could help him get rid of the cancer in that short a period of time (if at all), but that I'd give it my best shot. I used several protocols with this particular person:

1. Colloidal Silver Water several times daily in-between meals for the entire four week period.

2. Flor*Essence tea (Essiac) four times daily - an hour before each meal and before retiring. Plus 2 ounces of pure spring water (no chlorinated water) stove-top heated (not micro-waved) mixed with 2 ounces of Flor*Essence tea. Flor*Essence tea was learned from an Ojibway Indian and developed by Registered Nurse Rene Caisse and later perfected even further by Dr. Charles A. Brusch, President John F. Kennedy's Physician, while JFK was in the White House. Dr. Brusch had cured his own intestinal cancer using Flor*Essence tea. Ms. Rene Caisse had cured tens of thousands of terminal folks from 1928 - 1978 at her clinic in Bracebridge, Canada.

3. 10 grams of Vitamin C taken orally over the course of the day to strengthen his immune system. (Intra-venous {IV} vitamin C can help immensely, but I couldn't find a practitioner to administer it).

4. A good muliti-vitamin and mineral capsule taken daily, again, to strengthen his immune system. Additional vitamin E, D, A, and selenium.

5. Dr. Hulda Clark's 2004 "Zapper" using the Cancer program driver. He used the Zapper daily for the remaining three weeks after running the 8 day program (which is one session the first day, 2 sessions of the Zapper the second day with an hour in between sessions, 3 sessions the third day, an hour in between sessions, 4 and four, 5 and five, 6 and six, 7 and seven, and 8 sessions on the eighth day, again with an hour in between each session). so the last day it takes fifteen hours to complete the Zapper run. After the eight day run with the Zapper program, he used it off and on daily for the remaining three weeks.

6. Lots of raw vegetables and fruit daily.

He was very disciplined in using all of these protocols for the entire four weeks. When he went in for his surgery, the oncologists did a scan to locate all of the cancer, but the cancer was totally gone, to his and the doctor's surprise, and they had to cancel the surgery!

In my opinion, it was the combination of all of these protocols including Colloidal Silver Water that saved his kidney from the ravages of cancer.

This was a very tough situation because we had a very short time limit of only four weeks to work on ridding his body of the cancer.

I was as surprised as he and the doctors because of the short time span. He was very thankful about the outcome. But it proved to me once again, that anyone can overcome cancer using natural, alternative methods.

To me, the optimal time to begin natural, alternative treatments is immediately after diagnosis before any allopathic treatments have been administered.

Once chemotherapy begins, a person's own immune system becomes weakened and impaired and then it becomes extremely difficult for the body to fight off the cancer.

I cannot guarantee that we'll beat cancer every time we go after it with alternative methods, but I've seen and experienced success in defeating it many times with a number of different types of cancer (throat, tongue, brain, skin, stomach, bladder and intestines to name a few).

Yes, I've lost people to this dreaded disease, but only if they did not religiously follow all of the protocols I suggested, and if they had undergone any number of prior allopathic treatments (radiation, chemotherapy and surgery) that eventually weakened and partially destroyed their own immune systems so their bodies could not aid in the battle.

Even since this time of five or more years ago when we fought the kidney cancer and won (thank God!), through my continued alternative research, I have learned even more helpful protocols to help people win the battle of their life against this very dreaded disease, cancer.

I thank God for his divine intervention in leading me to research the protocols I've been fortunate enough to learn over the years.”

Worked for Pets, Too!*

The same individual tells me he also used colloidal silver to cure his cat of stomach cancer:

“One of my felines came down with stomach cancer and would spew blood all over her chest. This started about a year and one-half ago. I treated her daily with Colloidal Silver Water 15-21 ppm that I made, dispensed through an eye-dropper with at least 6 eye-dropper doses usually six to eight times daily.

I also gave her 6 eyedropper doses of undiluted Flor*Essence tea before she ate, about six to eight times daily. Within three months, she was healed, and is now as rowdy and playful as ever.”

Skin Cancer and Colloidal Silver*

And of course, we’ve told the story before of Mr. Al Koblik, who was able to avoid costly skin cancer surgery by using colloidal silver instead.

Mr. Koblick was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on his right leg in early 2005. His doctor told him he would have to undergo the standard medical procedure for trying to stop this type of cancer, which is a process called electrodesiccation.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that any thinking person would conclude there is enough anecdotal evidence available to justify research into the use of silver for cancer.

And now there’s the bona-fide preliminary clinical research cited in the beginning of this article, which demonstrates nanosilver to be a potentially viable treatment for cancer.

This of course is really good news, because unlike personal testimonials, it is quite difficult to ignore clinical research or write it off as being strictly “anecdotal.”

Hopefully, this new clinical research will spur medical researchers to conduct even more clinical studies, and eventually come up with an effective treatment protocol using silver.

I suppose it would be too much to hope that they'd look back in time and examine Dr. Robert O. Becker's original clinical research at Syracuse Medical University from the 1980’s…

…and do some additional clinical studies to see if Dr. Becker's method of using very small amounts of silver and positive electrical micro-currents to promote cellular dedifferentiation -- reverting cancer cells to fresh, new stem cells -- is a viable option to using larger concentrations of silver as a cancer cell toxin.

Regardless, the two clinical studies discussed at the beginning of this article represent absolutely fascinating and very hopeful work that may one day lead to medical protocols resulting in a true cure for cancer…

…and from a substance that is just about as natural as you can ever get – pure silver.
