FDA Says No Selling Colloidal Silver for Molluscum Contagiosum

Learn more about the infection-fighting qualities of colloidal silver at www.TheSilverEdge.com
Thousands of children and hundreds of adults are afflicted with Molluscum Contagiosum every year.

It’s a contagious skin condition resulting in painful skin outbreaks that are caused by a pox virus.

Many people have found dramatic relief and healing from Molluscum infections using colloidal silver products – including liquid sprays, ointments and even colloidal silver soap.

But now the FDA has stepped in, and is bringing charges against one of the main companies that promoted colloidal silver for use against Molluscum.  Here’s the story no one else is telling you…

Hi, Steve Barwick here, for The Silver Edge

Doctors admit they have no effective treatments for Molluscum Contagiosum, a painful and unsightly skin condition caused by a pox virus.

The virus, which mostly affects children, causes lesions on the skin that can spread all over the body, and can last anywhere from 12 weeks to three or four years before finally disappearing.

And the most doctors can do is tell you to wait until it passes on its own.  Meanwhile, the pox outbreaks are painful, unsightly, and infectious to others.

According to Britain's Daily Mail, the virus that causes Molluscum can be passed directly -- for example, touching the lesions -- or indirectly, by sharing clothing, towels and flannels. It can also be picked up in swimming pools.

Families with small children often share bath water and it can spread in this way. "It spreads easily within families," says Professor Harper, whose own child has had the condition.

It can also be passed between adults through sexual contact, in which case the mollusca appear around the genital area.

Does Colloidal Silver Work for Molluscum?

So when parents of children with Molluscum started raving about the profound healing benefits their children were obtaining when they a colloidal silver product called SilverCure on their Molluscum outbreaks, the FDA stepped in and did what it does best:

It shut down the cure.

Yes, the FDA went after the company selling SilverCure Nano-Silver Ointment (which consists of tiny particles of silver mixed with Vaseline and tea tree oil) and SilverCure Silver Spray, as well as SilverCure Hand Soap.

Parents would apply these colloidal silver-based products to the Molluscum outbreaks on their children, and in many cases amazing healing results were witnessed.

For example, on one online Molluscum support group, a parent raved:

“SilverCure works! My daughter had tons of bumps under her arm and all down her side. They were completely gone within a month of starting SilverCure.

I was very unsure of trying it at first because all the testimonials sounded too good to be true but it really works.

I am so thankful I found that! It's been almost 2 years since she got rid of the molluscum and you can't even tell she ever had it to begin with.”

Another parent wrote:

“SilverCure Definitely works. Our 8 year old son had it and it knocked it out. Our 5 year old daughter currently has it and it's taking a little longer on her, but is going away. She also has excesma (?sp).

A friend of ours is a Dermatologist and she's using it in her clinic now after seeing the results we had with our son. Highly recommend it.”

Another parent wrote:

“Within 15 days of using Silver care as directed EVERY single last little spot was gone - poof completely gone. It makes me angry that my doc wanted to freeze them off or something painful like that.”

And an adult victim of Molluscum wrote:

“I have used this product and it worked for me. I would recommend it. I had the virus on my legs and stomach and after a few weeks it was completely gone and I've never gotten it again. That was able 3 years ago.”

And this 19 year old Molluscom sufferer wrote:

“I used this a few years ago when I was 19 heading overseas. The Doc tried freezing it... aldara.... other random stuff to no avail.

SilverCure cleared it up within a few months and trust me a little goes a long way. I had the Molluscum outbreaks all over my genitals to the point where it looked like i had smallpox. It was horrible...

I'd buy this again in a heartbeat if I suspected it on me or any of my loved ones.”

The bottom line is that before the FDA stepped in, many parents of Molluscum victims were absolutely delighted with the results they were achieving with the SilverCure products.

They used the colloidal silver soap to gently wash the skin around the Molluscum outbreaks several times a day.

They used the colloidal silver liquid spray to spray directly onto the affected skin, in order to help relieve pain and itching, and stop the outbreaks from spreading over the body.

And they used the colloidal silver ointment directly on the lesions, to help maximize the healing and relief, and dramatically shorten the duration of the outbreaks.

Heavy-Handed FDA

Of course, now that the FDA has charged the company with “distributing a drug without FDA approval,” the SilverCure product is apparently no longer available online.

According to the Metro News of West Virginia (see story here), the business owners have also been charged with:

·       One count of Conspiracy to Violate the Laws, for which they each face five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

·       Four counts of Introduction into Interstate Commerce of New Drug without Approval, for which they each face up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000 (corporation) or $250,000 (individuals) on each count.

·       Four counts of Mislabeling/Misbranding a Drug, for which they each face up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.00 (corporation) or $250,000 (individuals) on each count.

This, folks, is how far the FDA will go to protect the drug company monopoly on healing -- even when the drug companies admit they don't have anything to effectively treat the condition.

The bottom line is that when colloidal silver manufacturers sell their product for a specific medical purpose – i.e., a “cure” for any kind of medical or health condition -- it doesn’t matter to the FDA whether or not the actually product works.

It can work profoundly well.  It can even be saving thousands of lives, or providing afflicted individuals with immeasurable relief.

But if the manufacturers haven’t bowed and scraped to the FDA first, and didn’t have the product tested as a drug and granted a “new drug” license costing tens of millions of dollars, then the product cannot legally be sold as a treatment for any medical condition.

Even today, legally speaking, all a colloidal silver vendor can say about a colloidal silver product is, “Here, try this, it’s called colloidal silver.”

But the minute a colloidal silver vendor says “It works great for healing infections” he’s put himself into the FDA’s crosshairs, as the SilverPure people found out the hard way.

Bad News/Good News

Here’s the bad news, and the good news:

SilverCure may be gone for good.  I don’t know for sure if the FDA will allow them to bring their product line back on the market after this.

But you can easily make your own high-quality colloidal silver, plus your own colloidal silver soap, and colloidal silver ointment, if you own a new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator from The Silver Edge.

In fact, while SilverCure sold a liquid colloidal silver product costing a whopping $16 per eight-ounce bottle, with a new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator from The Silver Edge you can make all of the high-quality colloidal silver you need, any time you need it, for less than 36 cents a quart

In other words, when you own a new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator, you can make a full 32 ounces of colloidal silver at a time, for about one penny per ounce, compared to the two dollars per ounce that was being charged by SilverCure for their liquid colloidal silver product!

SilverCure also sold a silver-based hand soap, which apparently cost upwards of $16 for an eight-ounce pump bottle.  But when you own a new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator from The Silver Edge, you can make your own colloidal silver soap – quickly and easily – for just a few pennies.

Not only that, but SilverCure’s flagship product -- the Nano-Silver Ointment consisting of Vaseline, colloidal silver and Tea Tree Oil -- was selling for a whopping $149 for a tiny eight-ounce jar.  But when you own a new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator from The Silver Edge, you can make your own colloidal silver ointment (in gel or cream form) for just pennies per jar, as well.

The bottom line is that when you make your own high-quality colloidal silver with a brand new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator from The Silver Edge, you’ll never have to worry about the FDA stepping in and shutting down your favorite colloidal silver vendor, and depriving you of your favorite colloidal silver products.

Instead, you’ll be able to make quart after quart after quart of high-quality colloidal silver – any time you need it – in the comfort and privacy of your own home.  And you can use it however you’d like, including making your own colloidal silver soap, colloidal silver gel, and even colloidal silver toothpaste!

The bottom line is that the FDA says you can’t sell colloidal silver as a treatment for Molluscum Contagiosum.  However, when you make your own colloidal silver, in the comfort  and privacy of your own home, you can use it however you want.

If you’re new to colloidal silver usage, you can read how thousands of experienced colloidal silver users are using colloidal silver on the Colloidal Silver Success Stories website.

Meanwhile, I’ll be back next week with another great article on colloidal silver….

Yours for the safe, sane and responsible use of colloidal silver,
