Colloidal Silver and the Jello Test

Click image to view the colloidal silver jello test...

In this short video excerpt from the ever-inquisitive folks at the RabbitWholeTruth channel on YouTube, four different tubs of orange-flavored jello were made.

In the first tub, tap water was used as the liquid.  In the second tub, distilled water was used as the liquid.  In the third tub, 20 ppm ionic colloidal silver was used as the liquid.  And in the fourth tub, 20 ppm metallic colloidal silver (i.e., so-called “true colloidal silver”) was used.

Which batch do you think produced the least mold and bacterial growth after 16 days – the batch made with the “true colloidal silver”… the batch made with ionic colloidal silver…or the batches made with plain tap water or distilled water, respectively?

The answer just might surprise you…

Hi, Steve Barwick here, for The Silver Edge

You can watch the short video excerpt here, and see with your own eyes which kind of colloidal silver best kept microbial growth to a bare minimum, i.e., the ionic colloidal silver or the so-called “true colloidal silver” (i.e., metallic silver).

As you might imagine, the jello made with tap water, and the jello made with distilled water, both showed clear signs of microbial contamination far earlier than the jello made with “true colloidal silver” and the jello made with ionic colloidal silver.

Indeed, by the ninth day the batches of jello made with tap water and with distilled water respectively were already showing very clear signs of microbial contamination.  By the 16th day, those two batches of jello were practically covered in microbial growth.

How Did the Silver Batches Fare?

On the other hand, by the ninth day, the batch of jello made with “true colloidal silver” and the batch of jello made with ionic colloidal silver were still completely free of microbial contamination.

By the 16th day the batch of jello made with “true colloidal silver” was just barely beginning to show signs of microbial growth, whereas the batch made with ionic silver was still completely free of visible microbial contamination.

This demonstrates that jello made with the “true colloidal silver” and the jello made with the ionic colloidal silver remained virtually microbe-free nearly twice as long as the batches of jello that were made with tap water and distilled water respectively.

In other words, adding colloidal silver in either form – i.e., ionic or metallic – extended the useful shelf life of the jello from nine to 16 days.

In a follow-up video on the RabbitWholeTruth channel on YouTube, we learn that it took nearly a month for the jello made with ionic silver to finally begin showing significant signs of microbial growth, compared to only 16 days for the so-called “true colloidal silver.”

This means that while the “true colloidal silver” (i.e. metallic silver) nearly doubled the effective shelf life of the jello, the ionic silver nearly tripled it.

According to the maker of this video:  “It looks like the ionic has proven to be more effective than the true colloidal silver over the long run.”

Yes, indeed!

The jello made with the ionic colloidal silver remained microbe-free for nearly twice as long as the jello made with so-called “true colloidal silver,” and nearly three times longer than the batches of jello made with tap water and distilled water respectively.

I’d call that proof positive ionic colloidal silver outperforms metallic colloidal silver (i.e., so-called “true colloidal silver”) in terms of preventing microbial growth.  Just watch the videos (see here and here) to see the proof for yourself…

Why Did Ionic Silver Win?

If you have to ask why ionic colloidal silver won the contest hands-down, then I have to assume you’ve never read the True Colloidal Silver Facts web page, where the many important differences between ionic silver and so-called “true colloidal silver” are explained.

The most important of those differences, of course, is that the ionic silver is the active, infection-fighting “specie” of silver.  And so-called “true colloidal silver” is not

Indeed, metallic silver (i.e., so-called “true colloidal silver”) is basically inert in the presence of microbes, except to the extent that the metal silver particles begin to shed silver ions when they come into contact with moisture or air.

In other words, ionic colloidal silver is the active, infection-fighting form of colloidal silver, whereas so-called “true colloidal silver” has to gradually shed silver ions in order to kill microbes.

This not only makes the so-called “true colloidal silver” much slower to work, since it is dependent upon conversion to ionic silver in order to kill microbes, but it also means a batch of “true colloidal silver” will always be weaker than an equivalent batch of ionic colloidal silver.

Don’t take my word for it.  If this information sounds foreign to you, take a look at the in-depth documentation – including the clinical studies -- on the True Colloidal Silver Facts website.

There, you’ll learn why ionic colloidal silver is always the preferable form of colloidal silver thanks to its ability to kill microbes without first having to be converted to any other form of silver.

You’ll also discover why the jello made with ionic colloidal silver stayed microbe-free nearly three times longer than jello made with tap water or distilled water, and nearly twice as long as the jello made with so-called “true colloidal silver”.

The bottom line is that ionic colloidal silver rules.  Quite literally, it’s the most potent and active infection-fighting form of silver on the face of the earth.

Make Your Own Ionic
Colloidal Silver for Just Pennies!

Of course, you can buy ionic colloidal silver at just about any well-stocked local health food store.

Unfortunately, store bought colloidal silver products are very costly – as much as $20 to $30 for a tiny four-ounce bottle.

That’s because colloidal silver works so well at killing infectious microbes and stopping infections, people are willing to pay through the nose for it.

But that’s somewhere between $5 and $7 an ounce – hardly a cost-effective way of extending the shelf life of a $2 pack of jello!

On the other hand, you can simply make your own high-quality ionic colloidal silver, in the comfort and privacy of your own home, for just a few pennies, with a brand new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator from The Silver Edge.

The Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator allows you to make your own high-quality colloidal silver for less than 36 cents a quart Yes, that’s right – a little bit over one penny per ounce compared to the $5 to $7 per ounce being charged in health food stores.

4 Simple Steps to
Colloidal Silver-Making Perfection!

What’s more, ionic colloidal silver is so simple to make at home, anyone who can use a coffee pot has all the skill needed to make colloidal silver.  Let me demonstrate for you how amazingly simple it is:

1.) Just plug the two pure .999 fine silver rods into the two jacks in the bottom of the generator box, one on each side of the bubbler tube.

2.)  Sit the generator box on top of a one-quart glass jar full of pure steam-distilled water, so that the two silver rods and the bubbler tube are immersed in the water.

3.) Set the handy appliance timer for three hours, and plug it into any convenient grounded household electrical outlet.

4.) Plug the generator into the timer and then turn the timer wheel clockwise until you hear the generator start bubbling. The generator will shut off automatically after three hours.

It’s really that easy! You just “Set it, and forget it.” And you get a perfect batch of high-quality micro-particle colloidal silver every time!

When you’re finished, you’ll have a full quart of high-quality micro-particle colloidal silver.  And you can make quart after quart for the rest of your life, for less than 36 cents each!

Indeed, the set of pure .999 fine silver wire that comes with your generator is enough to make over $24,000 worth of colloidal silver (see here)!

Why should you ever again pay $20 to $30 for a tiny, four-ounce bottle of colloidal silver at the health food store, when you can make your own superior-quality micro-particle colloidal silver for just a few pennies per quart?

Almost FREE, for the Rest of Your Life!

Obviously, having the ability to make your own high-quality micro-particle colloidal silver for only thirty six cents a quart is about as close as you’ll ever get to having "free" colloidal silver for the rest of your life, any time you or a family member, friend or loved one needs it.

And because the silver particles produced by this amazing breakthrough in colloidal silver-making technology are as low as .8 nm – a fraction of a single nanometer – their effectiveness against colonies of pathogenic microbes is absolutely astonishing.

Perhaps that’s why so many thousands upon thousands of people absolutely rave over the effectiveness of their homemade micro-particle colloidal silver, as you can see at this web page full of real-life colloidal silver success stories.

Another Bogus Study Claims Nanosilver Harms Human Cells (Opinion)

Learn how to make colloidal silver at www.TheSilverEdge.com
Does nanosilver harm human cells?  According to a handful of the latest clinical studies, it does.

However, there are two hidden secrets the public isn’t being told about these new studies.

And I’m going to expose both of those dirty little secrets for you, below, so you’ll never again be taken in by contrived study results.

Here’s what I’m talking about…

Hi, Steve Barwick here, for The Silver Edge

Here's another new study in which researchers claim to have demonstrated that silver nanoparticles cause harm to human cells.

This is the sixth study I’ve seen in recent years, in which researchers have drawn the conclusion that silver is harmful to human cells.  But is it true?

Like all of the recent clinical studies making this spurious claim, what the researchers have hidden from the public is the fact the studies were conducted…

a.) in a laboratory test tube, rather than in a real-life human body, and…

b.) on cancer cells, rather than on healthy human cells

“What’s so important about that?” you might ask.

The Test Tube Study Scam

First of all, since there's no way to duplicate human biology in a test tube, the studies are essentially irrelevant.  They’re flawed from the very start.

That’s because cells in the human body are afforded a number of protective mechanisms that simply don’t (and can’t) exist in a test tube.

So all the researchers have "proven" is that if you take cells out of their normal human environment, removing the body's many protective defenses from the equation, you can then find some dose of silver at which the cells will be harmed.

As I've stated in previous articles on this topic, the researchers could have done the same study and produced the same results using orange juice instead of silver…or Coca Cola instead of silver…or vinegar instead of silver…or even plain, distilled water instead of silver.

Why?  Because just about any common substance will harm human cells in a test tube, if you add enough of it.  And that’s because none of the body’s normal protective processes are at work in a test tube.  Zero.  Zilch.  Nada.

Cancer Cells Are
Not Normal Human Cells

What's more, there’s a second huge flaw in these studies. And it’s a gaping one:  The researchers have been using cells from human cancer cell lines.

That’s right.  Rather than testing silver’s effects on healthy human cells, the researchers tested sick, debilitated human cancer cells.

They don't tell the public that, of course.  But here's what the researchers behind the latest study on this topic had to say when describing their study to other researchers in a medical journal:

"We used leukemia cells throughout most of the study.

In other words, the only thing the researchers behind the current study have proven is that silver quite handily defeats leukemic cancer cells.

You see, based on numerous past clinical studies, silver appears to selectively target and attack cancer cells, and leave healthy human cells alone.

See, for example, the studies here, here, here, here, here and here, each of which demonstrate the powerful anti-cancer qualities of silver.

In my opinion, the researchers won't do real-life testing on healthy human cells, because they know that unless the cells are cancerous, the study results will instead demonstrate the proven cell-protective benefits of silver (see, for example, here, here and here).

In other words, testing of healthy human cells isn’t being conducted because such tests simply wouldn’t back up the hidden agenda to scare people away from using colloidal silver and other consumer products that contain nanosilver or other forms of antimicrobial silver.

Previous Flawed Study

You might remember that last year I examined a different one of these spurious studies on colloidal silver and human cells (see “Flawed Study Says Colloidal Silver Toxic to Human Cells”).

In that examination, I demonstrated how disingenuous the researchers were being in trying to hide the fact that they were purposely using human cancer cells lines in the study.

In fact, I predicted at that time that we'd be seeing a lot more of these shady studies from researchers attempting to use cancer cells to demonize the benefits of antimicrobial silver.

And in the past six months there have been at least one new study per month coming out making the claim that silver "harms human cells." And each one of these studies used cancer cell lines rather than normal cells lines.

What’s more, none of those studies were real-life human or animal studies.  All of them were test tube studies.

Thankfully, real-life animal studies have already demonstrated silver to be perfectly harmless to normal healthy cells.  See here and here, for example.

What’s more, studies on normal healthy human cell lines (such as this study from Sweden) also show no harm whatsoever to human cells.

Even a double-blind human ingestion safety study conducted on real-life humans (see this link), found no harm to human cells.

Treachery

So you can see how sneaky the researchers are being when they come out with studies like these, claiming to have proven that silver is "toxic" to human cells when in reality they were using cancer cells in a test tube, and not normal human cells in a living body.

In my opinion, they’re stacking the deck against silver by using cancer cells in their studies.  They know beforehand that silver will attack these sick cancerous cells and destroy them.  And then they can claim – with straight faces – that they’ve proven silver is “harmful to human cells.”

How They’ll Spin These Studies

In my opinion, what’s going to happen next is that the recent barrage of studies claiming that nanosilver harms human cells will be used to make the case that silver should be banned from use in consumer products.

The perpetrators will eventually say, "We now have X number of studies proving that nanosilver harms human cells.  For the sake of public safety, it’s time to ban the use of nanosilver from consumer products."

In other words, they're piling up enough negative studies until it appears that the "science has been settled" on this issue, and they can freely push for a ban on the use of nanosilver.

So far, of the six negative studies I’ve seen over the past half year or so, all of them were lab test tube studies rather than real-life studies, and all of them used cancer cells.

I find it absolutely unbelievable that these researchers didn’t know in advance that silver causes cancer cells to self-destruct.

After all, as I mentioned earlier, silver’s ability to cause cancer cells to “commit cellular suicide” (i.e., through a process called apoptosis) is quite well-known to medical science (see here, here, here, here, here and here).

As researchers behind one cancer study from 2011 have stated, “Many attempts have been made to use silver nanoparticles as an anti-cancer agent and they have all turned up positive.

So…in my opinion it’s pretty clear the researchers behind these most recent studies knew in advance what the outcomes of their studies were going to be.

I believe the researchers purposely used cancer cells in order to prove that silver is harmful to human cells, because they knew in advance cancer cells are so susceptible to silver.

The bottom line is that as long as the researchers don't let on about the cancer cells being used in their studies, the general public can easily be deceived into thinking that using products containing antimicrobial silver is going to harm their normal, healthy cells.

It is, in my opinion, nothing short of medical fraud.

But…it's no big surprise that researchers stack the deck against silver in their studies in order to achieve the outcome they've pre-ordained.

Indeed, this phenomena has recently caused one prominent nanosilver researcher to chastise his fellow nanosilver researchers, demanding that they start "doing good science" and quit letting their biases slip into their study results (see here).

Even some of the most respected medical researchers in the world have now admitted that much of today’s clinical research is either faked or produced using questionable techniques (see here).

One expert, Dr. Marcia Angell, a physician and longtime editor-in-chief of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ), which is considered to be one of the most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals in the world, makes her view of the subject quite plain:

“It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines.

I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of the New England Journal of Medicine”  (source)

Similarly, Dr. Richard Horton, the current editor-in-chief of the British medical journal, The Lancet, has stated:

The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue.

Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.” (source)

In other words, even medical experts agree that much of what passes for “scientific research” these days is riddled with flaws.

I’d add that this is especially true when the research is conducted by people who have a vested hidden interest in demonizing safe, natural antimicrobial silver.

Colloidal Silver Kills Human Breast and Liver Cancer Cells

Learn to make colloidal silver at www.TheSilverEdge.com
Yet another in vitro (i.e., test tube) clinical study has demonstrated that colloidal silver nanoparticles cause human breast and liver cancer cells to self-destruct.

I’ll be writing about a number of additional studies in the near future, each one documenting the cancer-killing effects of antimicrobial silver.

The question that remains is this:

Now that the evidence is so strong on behalf of silver’s cancer-fighting properties (see links to other studies, below), when are researchers finally going to move beyond the test tube study phase, and start doing real-life human clinical studies?

Hi, Steve Barwick here, for The Silver Edge…

In this clinical study, published in the European Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, researchers tested the anti-cancer properties of colloidal silver nanoparticles as well as specially prepared silver nanoparticles stabilized by chitosan.

According to the study authors:
The present study was aimed to investigate the in vitro cytotoxicity effect of colloidal silver and chitosan stabilized silver nanoparticles against human breast cancer cells (MCF-7) and liver cancer cells (HepG2) towards the development of anticancer drugs.

In other words, this was a test tube study (i.e., in vitro), designed to determine whether or not two different forms of antimicrobial silver (i.e., regular colloidal silver nanoparticles and specially prepared silver nanoparticles bonded with chitosan as a stabilizer) would have an effect against breast cancer cells and liver cancer cells.

Both Forms Worked!

Concentrations off 1 ppm, 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 25 ppm and 50 ppm were utilized in the study.

While both forms of silver caused the breast and liver cancer cells to self-destruct, they did so in a dose-dependent manner, which is to say, the higher doses worked better and faster against the cancer cells than the lower doses.

The study authors concluded:

There was an immediate induction of cellular damage in terms of loss of cell membrane integrity, oxidative stress and apoptosis were found in the cell which treated with colloidal silver and chitosan stabilized silver nanoparticles

The experimental results…indicated that the colloidal silver has antitumor activity through induction of apoptosis in human cancer cell line

In other words, both the colloidal silver and the silver nanoparticles stabilized with chitosan caused liver and breast cancer cells to self-destruct.  And both worked better at the higher concentrations used in the study.

The study authors concluded, “The synthesized AgNPs and CH-AgNPs exhibited excellent cytotoxicity against MCF-7 and HepG-2 cell lines.”

Most Interesting…

What was most interesting about this study, to me, was the fact that typical colloidal silver nanoparticles were tested against the cancer cells, and so were silver nanoparticles stabilized with chitosan.

Whenever you see clinical studies using silver nanoparticles that are “stabilized” with one substance or another, you can rest assured the study authors were ultimately looking to develop a “novel” form of silver that can be patented as a drug and monopolized by Big Pharma.

Generally, to do so, they chemically bond the stabilizing agent to the silver.  This way they can legitimately say they have a “new product,” and can therefore patent it.

As the study authors mentioned in passing, in their conclusion:  “…the findings in the present study might provide a novel approach for the treatment of the disease in future.”  And that’s the point.  They need a “novel approach” in order to patent the process so they can monopolize and sell the product.

What this study demonstrates is something I’ve been saying for several decades now:

Since plain old colloidal silver appears to work against cancer in these test tube studies, there’s really no need to develop “novel” forms of colloidal silver except to be able to market them as “drugs” and charge tens of thousands of times more than the value of the silver being utilized in them.
