Over the years I’ve
reported on numerous unusual uses for colloidal silver.
But the more you use
colloidal silver, the more fascinating uses you find for it over and above its
normal use as a powerful all-natural infection-fighting agent.
In this short article
we’ll examine 12 more uses for colloidal silver that are quite extraordinary. You’ll be amazed at some of the ways in which
experienced colloidal silver users have been using colloidal silver…
Hi, Steve Barwick here, for The Silver Edge…
In past articles I’ve documented a
total of 36 different unusual uses for colloidal silver – the world’s most
powerful natural infection-fighting agent.
You can read about each of these
unusual uses, here:
But there’s more.
Much more…
12 More Unusual Uses for Colloidal Silver
In the following article I’ll document for you 12 more
unusual uses for colloidal silver that have been brought to my attention by
experienced colloidal silver users.
Some of these uses are likely to blow your mind. Here’s what I’m talking about:
1. Treating a Scorpion Sting With Colloidal
Silver
As colloidal silver user Ava B., recently pointed out,
colloidal silver works great on scorpion stings. She states:
“Your article on colloidal
silver and spider bites reminded me of an experience I had with a scorpion
sting. I was barefoot and stepped on the scorpion in the dark.
“When I got the light on it was standing facing me with its
tail raised as if to dare me to try that again. I was able to capture it and
looked it up on the internet, to find a photo identifying it as the most
dangerous scorpion in Arizona and recommendation to go to the ER.
“Pain, swelling and redness at the bite site began to
spread. But at that particular time I
was getting ready to move and had turned off my phone and sold the car. So,
having no way to get to emergency care, I put colloidal silver in a dish big
enough to fit my toes in, settled down to Facebook, and sat the rest of the
night with the front part of my foot dangled in the colloidal silver.
“Just as a precaution, I emptied the dish twice during the
night and refilled it with fresh silver. By morning the spreading pain,
swelling and redness was gone. The sting continued healing on its own with no
further treatment and did not leave a scar.”
So there you have it.
If you get a scorpion sting and you’ve got no way to get to an emergency
care facility, this nifty little idea might buy you the time you need, or even
save you from an evening of growing pain and inflammation.
2. Treating Wasp Bites With Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver not only works on spider bites and other
bug bites, but reader Stella K. says it’s very helpful for dealing with wasp
bites, as well. She writes:
“A few days ago I was attacked by a nest of wasps. I was bit 4 times. In the past, I have ended
up in the ER over bites.
“But, all evening long I compressed the wasp bites by
soaking some cotton balls in colloidal silver and then taping the wet cotton
balls directly over the bite sites. I
changed them out every hour or so with freshly soaked cotton balls.
“I also took 1 tbsp of colloidal silver, orally, directly after
the attack, and another tbsp before bed.
And guess what? No welts, no
balloon arms - barely noticeable the next day!”
Well, you’ve got to admit, it’s great to know that colloidal
silver can be so helpful against bug bites such as spider bites, wasp bites or
even scorpion stings. But it’s also
fabulous for some of the more mundane yet stubborn issues we might come across.
3. Healing Cradle Cap With Colloidal
Silver
For example, here’s a short account from a parent who used
colloidal silver gel – twice – to cure stubborn cases of cradle cap:
“I used colloidal
silver for my son when he was little for extremely stubborn cradle cap. It
worked like a charm, too.
“I actually used
colloidal silver gel. I applied it nightly after his bath, just about a dime
size amount was enough to massage into the worst of the areas.
“In the morning I
would wash his scalp with a warm cloth and used a soft bristle brush to gently
remove the cradle cap that would dry and loosen overnight. If memory serves,
this process went on for less than two weeks and the cradle cap was gone.
Strangely enough, my
elderly diabetic father had what I can only describe as cradle cap (looked
exactly like it) and during his time with us last fall I tried the same
technique with him and his scalp cleared up completely.”

silver gel products, here).
4. Using Colloidal Silver for Healthy
Sprouting
According to natural health writer Angela Kaelin, people who
are into growing their own edible sprouts might consider using colloidal silver
to reduce the growth of mold and bacteria.
She writes:
“If you’re into sprouting, you can also dramatically reduce mold growth in sprouts by using colloidal silver diluted to 5 ppm in your sprouting tray when you prepare your seeds, either for planting or for eating in soups, salads and other recipes.
“Don't forget to spray your indoor house plants, culinary and medicinal herbs, as well. This not only improves the health of the plants, but it reduces bacteria and fungi that can cause indoor allergies.”

Does this really work?
Well, other experienced colloidal silver users have tried it
as well. For example, Chris K. recently
wrote to say, “I let my sprouts soak in
the colloidal silver for 5 minutes, I have found this rids them of mold!”
And Lisa B. wrote to say, “I have tried using colloidal silver to
soak my mung beans and lentils before sprouting, and it seems to work fine as they
never seems to get the bacteria smell.”
Finally, Victor H., wrote: “I have a bird aviary.
I soak bird seed for them. The seed germinates and creates sprouts.
It is very good for the birds.
“One of the
dangers of soaking bird seed is that you run the risk of developing mold in the
seed. i have been using colloidal silver in the sprouting water.
“I have not
had any mold at all in soaked seed. The birds are doing great. They love the
sprouts.”
5. Using Colloidal Silver for Skunk Spray Odor
Long-time colloidal silver user Martin S. recently wrote:
“I always wondered if colloidal
silver would work against the horrific smell of skunk spray. Last night I found out. And without a doubt, it works.
“Our dog was sprayed by
a skunk and run through the house afterwards.
You could hardly breathe. So I sprayed
the dog and the smell was gone. I LOVE
Colloidal Silver.”
I’ve previously written about colloidal silver’s ability to
get rid of stubborn pet odors (see Is Colloidal Silver a Cure
for Stubborn Pet Odors?).
But I had no idea it might work against skunk spray odor, as
well. So this is definitely a…well…refreshing revelation!
6. Using Colloidal Silver in the Bird Bath
Colloidal silver user Debbie A. wrote to say that she uses
safe, natural colloidal silver (instead of bleach) in her bird bath as a means
of helping keep algae from growing in it.
She states:
“One thing I have
used to show my family that colloidal silver really works is to put a few drops
of silver into my bird bath.
All
the green algae disappears almost instantly. It is the same appearance as if
you put a few drops of bleach into the bird bath, but of course without the
potential harm to the birds.”
Hot tub users have told us the same thing, i.e., add a
quart of colloidal silver a week to a standard hot tub and they don’t have to
use potentially toxic chlorine or bromine in the water to control bacterial
growth or algae.
In fact, many people who have a bottled water system in their home or office add an ounce or two of colloidal silver to the reservoir tank in order to prevent the growth of algae and bacteria.

According to The Silver Institute, silver has long been
used to help prevent algae growth in water purification systems. They state:
“Silver is employed
as a bactericide and algaecide in an ever increasing number of water
purification systems in hospitals, remote communities and, more recently,
domestic households.
“Silver
ions have been used to purify drinking water and swimming pool water for
generations…
“…An
increasing trend is the millions of on-the-counter and under-the-counter water
purifiers that are sold each year in the United States to help keep drinking
water clean. Here silver is used to
prevent the buildup of bacteria and algae.”

Colloidal Silver in a Hot Tub or Spa.)
7.
Keeping
Cut Vegetables Fresher, Longer
Colloidal silver user Beverly U. recently wrote to say:
“Today I cut up an avocado.
I only needed to use half of it. But of
course, when you put avocados in the refrigerator they tend to get brown spots,
quickly.
“I had just finished
making up a quart of colloidal silver, so I decided to dip the cut edge of the
avocado in a small bowl of colloidal silver.
“Five hours later I
got the half avocado out of the refrigerator and was pleasantly surprised that
the cut edge was still as fresh as when I had cut it.”
In a private message, Noah D. wrote to say that he also uses
colloidal silver to help keep his fresh veggies from spoiling as quickly. He wrote:
“Steve... I have had
your company’s Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator for about six months and it has been
wonderful. I wanted to share a small testimony with you.
I have a mini-frig
with a small crisper drawer. We do much juicing and so we keep a good supply of
organic greens in the crisper drawer. We
had a problem in that in 2-3 days some greens would spoil.
Since we have started
spraying them with colloidal silver we have had almost no spoiling. Thank you
Steve!”

Kaelin’s great article, Using

Get
Rid of Cigarette Odors on Your Clothes With Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver Martin S. says colloidal silver helps get
rid of the cigarette smell from clothing, as well. He wrote:
“Colloidal silver is not
only good for pet odors, but it actually gets rid of the cigarette smell in my
cloths. I spray my clothing lightly with colloidal silver before meeting
someone. And there’s no more cigarette
smoke smell. It works!”
That’s a great idea, of course. Colloidal silver seems to work against all
kinds of smells, including pet odors. And as we learned in item #5 above, it even
works against skunk spray odor.
This is another good reason why I keep a small pump spray
bottle of colloidal silver near the toilet in my bathrooms. It comes in very hand for getting rid of the
smell of a particularly stinky bowel movement:
Simply spray colloidal silver up into the air inside the
bathroom around the toilet area, allowing the billions of tiny droplets to drop
naturally to the ground, bringing the smell down with it.
9. Use Colloidal Silver to Keep Wet Paint
Sponges from Souring
Colloidal silver user Retta S. wrote to say that she uses
colloidal silver to help prevent her paint sponges from smelling sour. She says:
“I'm an artist that
paints with acrylics. I use a palette with little sponges inside to keep my
paints from drying out so fast. But in only a couple days they would sour, and
I'd struggle to keep them fresh smelling.
So I'm DELIGHTED to
tell you I recently discovered that spritzing my little sponges with colloidal
silver keeps them fresh... going on 11 DAYS now!! So happy.
Update: I actually went 18 days before having to stop
and wash out the sponges with soapy hot water, and start over, re-spritzing
them with colloidal silver. From 2 days to 18 days. Cool. J”
10. Using Colloidal Silver in an Essential Oils
Diffuser
Colloidal silver user Jennifer D., wrote to tell me that she
uses colloidal silver in her essential oils diffuser. She wrote:
“I
have been using colloidal silver in my essential oil diffuser with excellent
results!!
I mix it half-and-half with essential oils lemon, lavender
or rosemary, which are my favorites..I have not had a trip to the ER in well
over a year and a half!!
So grateful that my immune system is handling all this
sickness around me! And I work in the healthcare field, so lots of exposure to
illness!!”
Of course, a lot of people use
colloidal silver in their cool mist vaporizer as a means of getting some
colloidal silver circulating in the air in a bedroom, for example, where a
person with an upper respiratory infection might be staying.
But until now I’ve never heard of using
it along with essential oils in an essential oil diffuser. What a great way to enjoy the disinfecting
and infection-fighting qualities of both colloidal silver and essential oils!
11. Using Colloidal
Silver to Make Naturally Disinfectant Baby Wipes
Colloidal silver Delia M. wrote to say
that she’s been making her own paper and cloth baby wipes. But at first, she had trouble with mold
forming in the wipes…that is, until she started adding colloidal silver to her
mix. Here’s what she had to say:
“I make my own cloth
baby wipes and was having a problem with them molding before they were all used
up. I started using 1/4 cup of silver
with my mix and suddenly there was no more mold. Here’s how I do it:
“First, I take a Bounty
paper towel roll (it has to be good quality paper towel). I cut it in half so
there are then two half rolls of paper towels.
“I take the cardboard
out of the middle. Place the roll in an appropriate size sealable container (I
used a 3kg size plastic honey pot that has a tight fitting lid).
“Then in a large
measuring cup I put about 1.5 cups liquid. I do about 1.25 cups water and .25
cup silver ( I imagine you could use as little as 2 tbsp of the colloidal
silver, but I use more because I make my own with your generator and it only costs
pennies, so I don’t mind using a little extra.)
“I then add 3 tbsp
liquid Castile soap (or any good baby soap), plus 2-3 tbsp of a light oil such
as grape seed oil. Then I add 10 drops of
lavender essential oil and 10 drops tea tree oil. Mix well and pour over the paper towels in the
container. To use, just start pulling the towel from the centre of the roll.
“On a side note if
anyone mentions the tea tree alone should keep away the mold, it’s not
true. I’ve tried. It’s the colloidal silver that does the
trick.
“You can also use the
same solution and method for cloth baby wipes, rather than paper wipes. I just
cut up receiving blankets into small squares and put them in a container and
use the solution that way.”
12. Using Colloidal Silver for Dog’s Ear Mites
Colloidal silver user Tara B. wrote to say that colloidal
silver worked wonders on her dog’s ear mite problem. She wrote:
“We were sitting on
the bed, and smelled something so I flipped my dog’s ears over and saw the debris
from the mites that had dug into his skin.
Yuck. The debris stunk. And it was gross.
We sprayed some
colloidal silver over the dog’s head and allowed it to gently drop into his
ears. And 2 hours later I looked and the
mite debris was gone. There was still
some way down in the ear canal. But for it to literally disappear…we were
shocked. The regeneration was also quick, especially the hair.
Now, if the problem
recurs, we spray the colloidal silver directly in ear. We use it on his hot spots too.”
Time to Consider Making
Your Own Colloidal Silver?
If
you like what you’ve read above, perhaps it’s time to consider purchasing
a home colloidal silver
generator so you can make your own colloidal silver for less
than 36 cents a quart, rather than paying $20 or $30 for a tiny four-ounce
bottle at health food stores.
By making your own high-quality colloidal silver so
inexpensively, you’ll be able to use it for hundreds of uses over-and-above
treating infections. You’ll also be able
to use colloidal silver for its many disinfectant qualities, such as:
- Spray colloidal silver onto kitchen counter tops to kill germs, mold, mildew and other microbes
- Soak your store-bought fruits and vegetables in it to eradicate potentially harmful bacteria and fungus from the food surfaces
- Clean and decontaminate faucets, door knobs, and other contact surfaces such as your kitchen cutting board or that filthy blade on your kitchen can opener
- Add a couple of ounces to your daily laundry as a natural antiseptic agent that will keep clothes, bath towels, dish rags, and other fabrics fresh and germ-free for weeks on end
- Soak your toothbrush in it to prevent microbial contamination
- Spray it around sinks, bathtubs and other surfaces to stop mold and mildew in its tracks
- Spray it topically onto cuts and burns for prevention of infection and to stimulate rapid wound healing
- Add it to your pet’s water bowl to resolve internal infections and help prevent illness
- Gargle with it to eradicate sore throats
- Put it into a spray atomizer and sniff it up your nose to eliminate sinus infections
- Add a drop or two into your eyes to stop Pink Eye or styes in a single afternoon
- Spray your store-bought meats and other fresh foods with colloidal silver before refrigerating, to kill any nasty pathogens such as MRSA on the food surfaces
And, of course, you can safely use colloidal silver internally to
stop colds and flu in their tracks…alleviate intestinal infections…stop urinary
tract infections…cure upper respiratory infections…wipe out infection-based
prostate problems…and much, much more!
Best of all, your new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver
Generator from The Silver Edge will practically pay for itself
with the very first one-quart batch of colloidal silver you make.
You see, health food stores generally charge about
$30 for one of those tiny, four-ounce bottles of colloidal silver they
sell. That means a quart’s worth of colloidal silver would cost you
a whopping $240.
But you can pick up a new Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver
Generator for just $249.95 (during our current sale, in which you save a
whopping $100 off the usual cost) and make your first one-quart batch for about
36 cents.
After your second one-quart batch, you’ll
be making colloidal silver practically FREE, i.e., just a few pennies per every
one-quart batch. And you can do so for the rest of your life!
Truly, the Micro-Particle Colloidal Silver Generator is one
of the few products you’ll ever buy that actually pays for itself almost immediately.
