idea of what to expect – the mass looting of stores…the home invasions...the scarcity

away. You might even have a generator or
some solar power rigged up to help run your home. And you’ve probably got some extra household
goods on hand like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper and pet
supplies. Maybe you’ve also got some
extra medications on hand, in case they’re needed. And perhaps you’ve stocked up on ammunition
in case people are tempted to rob you or otherwise harm you or your family
during an extended national or local crisis.

But I’m
urging you to add one more important item

1. Keeping
foods fresher, longer
Colloidal
silver helps with keeping foods fresh and healthy in several ways. Because it's
a powerful natural antimicrobial agent, it's great for preserving the freshness
of foods. Add one ounce of 10 ppm strength colloidal silver to a quart of milk
and you can extend the shelf life by twice
the usual time.

2. Increasing
the safety and shelf-life of home canned goods
Many preppers
and do-it-yourselfers can their own food. Home food storage is a great way to

stored food is safe, especially when you’re using a water bath method.

weeks without food. But you can only

7. Treating
sinus infections

sore throats/strep infections
If you can't
get medical attention how will you treat dangerous sore throats and strep
infections? Those infections can turn into something much worse, so you'll need
to treat them quickly, and there may be no access to antibiotics—which can have

strains of the Streptococcus bacteria (strep throat bacteria) can cause Scarlet
Fever, pneumonia, meningitis and impetigo. But, a study done at BYU showed that
a colloidal silver solution was able to kill five different strains of the
Streptococcus pathogen, at surprisingly low concentrations. And further
research has shown it to be effective against drug-resistant forms of
Streptococcus, as well.
Drinking an
ounce or two of 10 ppm colloidal silver and gargling with 10 ppm colloidal
silver three or four times a day, for as long as possible each time, can cure a
strep throat infection if done consistently. Some experienced colloidal silver users tell
me they simply carry a small pump spray bottle filled with 10 ppm colloidal
silver when they have a sore throat, and spray their throat area frequently

9. Treating
bug bites – including wasp, spider and scorpion bites
During a SHTF
scenario, whether you're outdoors picking food in your garden, or rummaging
around in your yard or local neighborhood searching for dwindling supplies, or
even heading out into the wilderness to avoid the chaos in the city, there's a
good chance at some point in the process you'll get bitten by bugs.
Thankfully,
applying colloidal silver will dramatically ease the itch of spider or other

there’s spider bites. When I was visiting the Island of St. John some
years back, during the off-season, our room in the highly rated hotel we stayed
at was full of tiny spiders.
Apparently, when guests are infrequent, the rooms aren’t cleaned as
often, and the spiders move in. The little critters didn’t bother my wife, for
some reason. But they sure liked me. I’d wake up in the
morning with spider bites from my ankles to my knees.

while they were very small bites, they turned bright red and itched like

10. Treating
sunburns and burns
During a
disaster or emergency in which you might get more outdoor exposure than usual,
it's quite possible you or a family member or other loved one will end up with a
nasty sunburn. Or, you might get burned
trying to rig a makeshift stove or cooker.
After all, when we get hungry and tired we might also get a little careless.
But if you’ve
got a serious sunburn or burn, and the doctor’s offices and drug stores are all

12. Protecting
your pets from infection and disease
Many preppers
– including myself – are lifelong pet lovers.
Of course pets can indeed fit in with a well-rounded prepper
program. Dogs, for example, act as great
“alarms” against potential trespassers.
If it’s the right breed, they can also be wonderful for home
protection. Some breeds can even be
trained for hunting. And regardless of breed, they're just plain good company.
Many preppers
also raise domestic farm animals (cows, chickens, goats) for food. But what if your pets or farm animals need
medical help during a prolonged state of emergency in which veterinary offices
are closed and vet supplies limited?
Because pets and
other animals can be often be treated similarly to humans, you can use

13. Potential
help against germ warfare or biological weapons attack
If you don't
live in a bubble, you’re likely aware of the potential for the use of germ
warfare by bad guys during a terror attack. After the 9-11 terror attacks on the U.S., envelopes
containing a deadly strain of anthrax were sent to key government personnel through
the mail, resulting in the deaths of five Americans and serious,
life-threatening infections for 17 others.
At that same
time, terrorist plans to use small, unobtrusive devices called “venturis” to
help spread germ warfare agents throughout major cities came to light. The “venturi” device is attached to the
outside of a car. As the car is driven
down the road, the “venturi” sucks air into one end, and disperses clouds of
deadly germ warfare agents out the other.

words, a “venture” is designed to disperse clouds of deadly germ warfare agents
