Emergency Alert: Stop EPA From Further Regulating Colloidal Silver as a "Pesticide"

Emergency Alert: Stop EPA From Further Regulating Colloidal Silver as a "Pesticide"

We have only until January 20th to submit comments to the EPA against the proposal by radical environmental groups that want the EPA to immediately begin regulating nanosilver (read: colloidal silver) as a "pesticide" -- an action that would completely take colloidal silver off the market at some point in time.

Apparently, radical environmental groups and fake "consumer advocate" groups have joined hands to accellerate the ongoing campaign to have the EPA regulate all commercial forms of nanosilver, including colloidal silver, as a "new pesticide."

We received today an email from our good friend George Foss, a top nutritional supplement formulator and natural health watchdog, explaining that the Center for Food Safety (an elitist, pro-regulatory group masquerading as a "consumer advocacy" group) is now urging their readers to send comments to the EPA supporting the "Petition for Rulemaking Requesting EPA Regulate Nanoscale Silver Products as Pesticides.”

This petition -- if accepted and acted upon by the EPA -- would essentially allow the EPA to regulate colloidal silver into oblivion, on the grounds that it could potentially cause harm to the environment. (See more on this issue below.)

Public Comments Soon to Be Closed

We also learned that public comments on this petition have been open for some time. But apparently only the rabid environmental groups and fake "consumer advocate" groups supporting the proposal have been told about the comment period, which ends January 20th. These pro-regulatory groups have been sending emails to their thousands of readers, urging them to go to a special web page they have set up where an automated system exists for submitting comments to the EPA en masse.

Unfortunately, this comment submission system only allows for comments from people who favor futher strict regulation of nanosilver by the EPA. Even if you use the system to send a comment against the proposal to regulate nanosilver as a "new pesticide," the system overrides your comment by superceding it with a "canned" favorable comment.

This means virtually all of the comments going to the EPA have been in favor of further regulation of nanosilver products.

Since EPA depends heavily upon public comments when deciding upon new regulatory action, it is vitally important that they get to hear the views of those who do not want to see nanosilver further regulated by the EPA as a "new pesticide."

Comments to the EPA will be closed as of January 20, 2009, so we have only a short time to act on this issue in order to save colloidal silver from being regulated into oblivion.

My Contact with the EPA

I picked up the phone this afternoon and called the EPA at the number under “Contact Us” on their web site (202-564-4700).

A very nice gentleman named “Peter” answered and I asked him how I could submit a comment on the nanosilver regulation issue, as their web site appears to offer no easy way to take and deliver such comments from the public.

He said to send comments by fax or email directly to the EPA Administrator, Mr. Stephen Johnson:

Email: johnson.stephen@epa.gov
Fax: 202-501-1450

Be sure to reference Docket # EPA-HQ-OPP-2008-0650.

Also, be sure to state that you are commenting in regards to the “Petition for Rulemaking Requesting EPA Regulate Nanoscale Silver Products as Pesticides.”

I also found a page on the EPA web site that says comments can be sent by mail to the following address:

Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) Regulatory Public Docket (7502P)
Environmental Protection Agency
1200 Pennsylvania Ave, NW
Washington, DC 20460-0001

Additionally, after much searching, I was able to figure out a way to post a comment to the EPA web site regarding the proposed regulations. I used this link, which I hope works for everyone else, too:

http://www.regulations.gov/fdmspublic/component/main?main=SubmitComment&o=09000064807cd9b1

Must Act Quickly and Decisively!

As quickly as possible we need to get the above contact information posted on as many relevant natural health internet forums as possible, and also circulated by email to all relevant people in the natural health industry.

Please do your part to help by referring as many "natural health" people as possible to this blog post.

The rabid environmentalists have had a huge head start on this issue, since they are the only ones who knew where to send comments to. And there is only a very short period of time left between now and January 20th to submit further comments.

Wild and Invalid Claims

As you may already know, the environmental groups and fake "consumer advocate" groups have been making wild and invalid claims about nanosilver for some time now, stating that it is in immediate need of EPA regulation due to its alleged potential to harm the environment.

Through deception and chicanery these groups have managed to convince the EPA to re-classify nanosilver as a "pesticide" under an obscure set of regulations known as FIFRA.

Now they are pressing the FDA to strictly enforce those regulations under the supposition that nanosilver products represents a dire threat to the environment.

Yet not one study to date – I repeat, not one study -- has ever demonstrated nanosilver to have harmed any part of the environment. Instead, only test tube and lab studies extrapolating its alleged negative effects on the environment have been conducted.

And for the most part, those studies have been conducted by researchers who were either hired by the environmental groups to demonstrate nanosilver’s alleged harmful environmental attributes, or by researchers specifically working to forward the agenda of these groups.

In other words, the so-called studies have been conducted by researchers who are predisposed to believe nanosilver is somehow harmful, or somehow represents a dire threat to the environment. They have been paid to demonstrate exactly that. This means the study outcomes are decided upon in advance, before the studies are even started. This is junk science at its worst.

Re-Defining NanoSilver to Include Colloidal Silver

What’s more, the environmental groups behind this drive to have nanosilver regulated into oblivion have re-defined the term “nanosilver” to include just about any commercial form of natural silver available on the market today, including ALL colloidal silver products.

In one of their petitions to the EPA demanding the regulation of nano-silver products, these groups have even named some of the top commercial colloidal silver brands on the market today (including Sovereign Silver, Meso-Silver, ASAP Colloidal Silver, Utopia Silver and more) as being in dire need of “regulation.”

So the whole thing reeks of a stealth campaign to have colloidal silver banned.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is that silver has been in the environment for millions of years. In its natural state, bonded to other minerals and natural substances, it causes no harm to the environment whatsoever.

As commercially produced nanosilver returns to the environment it is very rapidly degraded as it agglomerates (i.e., bonds together) with natural minerals, salts and other natural environmental substances that in effect eliminate its commercial nano-scale attributes, as well as effectively neutralizing its so-called “potentially harmful pesticide qualities” (i.e., its ability to kill pathogens on contact).

So in reality, there is no threat to the environment whatsoever from nanosilver products.

Rigged Studies

The researchers who have ostensibly demonstrated harmful attributes of nanosilver on environmental life forms such as bacteria or tiny minnows used extremely high quantities of pure commercially produced nanosilver products in their lab studies.

In other words they used levels of nanosilver that would simply never be found in the environment, due to silver’s propensity to bond rapidly with a multitude of other minerals, salts and other substances and return to its natural state once back in the environment.

In short, the studies are bunk. They prove nothing. The reason the studies were conducted in the laboratory rather than in the actual environment is because it was already known what would have been demonstrated in an true environmental study. No environmental harm whatsoever would have been found.

But by doing lab studies under rigged conditions that could never be found in the environment itself, the environmentalist researchers were able to demonstrate exactly what they set out to demonstrate. In other words, these studies were a “fix” from the beginning, in my opinion.

My Comments to the EPA

Here is what I posted through the EPA web site comment submission system earlier today. Whether or not these comments actually get posted to the EPA web site is another story. We shall see. Nevertheless, I also intend to submit my comments through the EPA’s email and fax systems noted above, as well as through the U.S. mail at the address noted above.

Folks, we need to bombard EPA with comments against the proposal to further regulate nano-silver as a “pesticide,” just as the environmentalists have been bombarding them with comments in favor of the proposal. Here’s the comment I submitted:

To the Honorable Mr. Stephen Johnson, Administrator:

The idea that nanosilver needs to be regulated by EPA due to ostensilbe harm to the environment is ridiculous at face value.
No study has ever demonstrated nanosilver to have caused harm to the environment.

The only studies conducted have been laboratory studies that have extrapolated nanosilver's alleged environmental impact. These studies have completely ignored the fact that once returned to the environment nanosilver rapidly bonds with minerals, salts and other natural substances, forming non-nano scale conglomerate particulates, essentially returning the silver to its natural harmless state.

In other words, once returned to the environment it is no longer nanosilver. And it no longer has the attributes deemed harmful by the white coat lab researchers who have conducted their laboratory studies using nanosilver in its purest and most non-adulterated commercial form rather than looking at what actually happens to nanosilver once it returns to the environment.

By promoting lab studies that assume nanosilver somehow remains in its nano-scale commercial form once returned to the environment -- which is so demonstrably false as to be ludicrous -- the environmentalists behind the push to regulate nanosilver as a new “pesticide” have done EPA and the American public a grave injustice. They have created an environmental "crisis" where none exists.

If you carefully read the petitions and press releases put out by the environmental groups now petitioning EPA in regards to regulating nanosilver, you will see they are so full of unsupported speculations and weasel words (i.e., "might cause harm" "could impact the environment," "may be highly destructive") as to be laughable.

We respectively submit EPA ignore the rabid calls to regulate nanosilver being made by neo-Luddite environmentalist groups. It is simply and conclusively a non-issue, in terms of potential harm to the environment.

Silver has always been in the environment and always will be. And when commercially produced nanosilver is returned to the environment it does not in any way, shape or form retain its commercial nanosilver properties. This issue is therefore moot; it is the proverbial "much ado about nothing."

Respectfully,S. Spencer Jones

Positive Impact

Hopefully we can make some positive impact against the proposal to have EPA regulate nano-silver as an environmental contaminant. But we have only a short time to act. And if we fail to act we will likely see the demise of the entire colloidal silver market.

So please be sure to help us get this vital information out to the natural health community.

Put the Means of Colloidal Silver Production
Into Your Own Hands While There Is Still Time

For anyone wishing to put the means of colloidal silver production into your own hands, please consider getting a colloidal silver generator right away. With a colloidal silver generator you can produce all of the colloidal silver you'll ever need, any time you want, in the comfort and privacy of your own home, for only a few pennies per quart.

Owning the means of colloidal silver production is the only way to make sure you will always have access to this powerful natural healing substance, especially if the EPA bows to pressure from the environmental groups and follows through on their plans to regulate nanosilver it into oblivion.

Using the Colloidal Silver "Blue Man" to Discredit Colloidal Silver Usage

Using the Colloidal Silver “Blue Man” to Discredit Colloidal Silver Usage

People have written to ask me what I think will happen next, in regards to the colloidal silver "blue man" story.

Undoubtedly, the saga of the colloidal silver “blue man” will likely continue to play out, as long as the corporate controlled news media are getting what they want out of it.

As mentioned in previous blog posts on this site, the corporate controlled media are using this single example of a man with a very unusual side effect, which he got from taking excessive daily dosages of colloidal silver for years on end, in order to completely discredit colloidal silver usage.

Indeed, it is obvious to everyone but the most myopic of viewers that the only beneficiaries of the colloidal silver “blue man” sideshow are the major drug companies and the corporate controlled media who rake in hundreds of millions of dollars a year running prescription drug ads for them.

Battling Against Colloidal Silver Since 1999

The drug companies have battled against colloidal silver usage for years, through their front men in the FDA. In 1999 they even tried to have colloidal silver banned by the FDA, but failed.

And every time they have attacked colloidal silver, it has only served to shine the spotlight of truth on this remarkable natural infection-fighting and immune-boosting substance. As a result, to date, the drug companies and their bureaucratic enforcement arm (FDA) have failed to stop the colloidal silver juggernaut. Indeed, today there is now an estimated 10 million colloidal silver users throughout North America alone, and millions more around the world. And the numbers are growing daily.

This is why the medicrats have switched gears. They have finally figured out that they have to be more subtle (actually, more subtil, i.e., sneaky) in their approach if they are to ever get their ban on colloidal silver through.

Emotionally-Laden Propaganada Tactics

So now they are now using emotionally-laden corporate propaganda tactics. They know they have to reach the public emotionally in order to scare them away from colloidal silver, so that once they propose to ban this powerful natural infection-fighting agent again, there won't be much resistance to the idea from the general public.

As part of this new tactic, several years back the various media shills for the medical bureaucrats started pushing the story of the Montana "blue man," Stan Jones -- even going so far as to doctor photos of him to look blue, when in reality he merely had some small patches of skin graying on his face and under his fingernails at the time.

You can read an interview with Mr. Jones on my web site which we conducted with him several years ago. Just click on the "Did Colloidal Silver Turn This Man Blue?” link, and you’ll see how the news media purposely distorted the story for their own ends, and caused Mr. Jones to lose the election to the Montana Senate seat he was running for at the time, as the Libertarian Party candidate.

Gray Skin, No Eyes

Then, shortly afterwards, the bureaucratic medical shills for the drug companies began posting photos of a small handful of argyria victims on certain medical web sites across the internet. But they purposely cut the eyes out of the people in the photos so that the argyria victims looked a hundred times more ghastly than they otherwise would have.

There was absolutely no reason to doctor those photos by cutting out the people's eyes except that it made them look like they came right out of some horrific zombie movie. It increased the emotional impact of the photos by a hundred fold.

If they had wanted to simply preserve the personal privacy of the argyria victims in the photos, they could have easily used the traditional black bar across the eyes, or used pixelation on the face to hide the people's identities. But instead, they did what had the most emotional impact on the viewers of those photos.

Then, they got certain “quackwatch”-style web sites to post links to these photos, publicizing them and claiming the argyria portrayed was the direct result of colloidal silver usage. A little detective work, however, reveals that these particular cases of argyria were caused by the usage of chemical-based prescription silver compounds such as silver nitrate, rather than properly made, electrically generated colloidal silver.

How to Manipulate the Public

Tactics like this are right out of the "how to manipulate the public" propaganda handbooks. And so today, on mainstream internet sites such as the Yahoo "Ask" pages, and many others, you can see people linking to those scary-looking photos of argyria victims, while posting wild warnings about the "dangers" of using colloidal silver. Yet not one of those victims of argyria portrayed in those photos had used properly made, electrically generated colloidal silver.

Now the drug companies have the benefit of the new "blue man," Paul Karason. He's an affable fellow. In fact, after listening to him for awhile, you can’t help but like him. And it is certainly very cool the way he continues to advocate colloidal silver.

But it is also clear the corporate media is using him to promote the idea that colloidal silver usage is dangerous, will "turn you blue," and only "kooky" people like Paul would ever dare risk using it, much less continuing to use it after they turn blue from it.

Kooks and Recluses

Have you noticed, for example, that in every single television interview with Mr. Karason, the host inevitably leads him to talk about his life-long tendency toward reclusiveness?

This is very purposeful, and a very powerful tactic. In fact, it is an emotionally-laden public relations propaganda tactic designed to impact the public psyche. It is like the "lone nut" killers they always trot out for public consumption when there are assassination attempts against major public figures, such as the JFK assassination.

By constantly harping on Paul Karason's lifelong "reclusiveness" the general public is left with the impression that only kooky "recluses" use things like colloidal silver, and they get what they deserve for not joining in with the multitudes and trusting in mainstream medicine.

And of course, the television hosts always conveniently fail to mention the fact that there has never been a recorded death or serious injury, or even a serious adverse event, from colloidal silver usage, other than the half dozen or so people every few decades who take it in excessive amounts and stain their skin.

And they certainly won't tell the public that in contrast, over 120,000 people a year are flat out killed (some would say murdered) by mainstream medicine's prescription drugs, and hundreds of thousands more are injured or suffer from serious adverse events (i.e., side effects), oftentimes permanently.

Scare Tactics: They Use Them, Because They Work

The entire idea behind the "blue man" propaganda saturation campaign is to leave the public believing that mainstream medicine is for "normal" people and is always good for you, whereas natural health is for "nuts," "kooks" and "recluses," and will ultimately hurt you.

They know they have to scare people away from even trying natural health remedies, if they are to stop the growing exodus of people from mainstream medicine. And to do so, they must portray natural health advocates as "nutty" and "kooky" and "reclusive."

And so they use these emotional P.R. and propaganda tactics, because they work better than raw force (i.e., such as outright product bans) which always triggers public resistance and resentment.

The Coming Ban on Colloidal Silver

Ultimately, however, the colloidal silver ban will come. They are just softening up the public, first. They are reducing resistance to a ban on colloidal silver, by portraying it as a substance only mentally challenged "lone nuts" would partake of.

Right now, Health Canada (the Canadian version of the FDA) is sending out public warnings about commercially sold colloidal silver products, and actively soliciting "adverse events" reports on colloidal silver from the public.

This means two things: One, they don't have any significant adverse events reports on colloidal silver in their files, so they have to actively solicit them. Two, once they have compiled some "adverse events" reports, they are planning on using them. In short, they are planning a ban on colloidal silver, and are trying to amass the "evidence" they need in support of a ban, in advance.

Of course, under normal circumstances product bans are usually the result of real "adverse events" reports that come in spontaneously and unsolicited from the public over a period of time. These reports are then investigated, and if there is evidence that the substance in question poses a danger to the public, then action is taken against that substance. But in this case the medical bureaucrats in Canada have no significant evidence against colloidal silver. So they are actually prodding the public to provide them with some.

Here in the U.S. things are getting equally dodgy behind the scenes. For example, the medical bureaucrats are going after our friends over at Utopia Silver, trying to set them up and use them as a test case in order to go after other colloidal silver vendors later.

This is called "setting up a precedent," and it is almost always the harbinger of additional bureaucratic harassment and legal maneuvering to come.

The bottom line is that colloidal silver is once again under attack. Only this time, it is from a completely different angle than the outright strong-arm attempt to ban it in 1999. This time they are using a combination of long-term emotional public relations and propaganda tactics combined with seemingly unrelated "enforcement" actions.

Codex Alimentarius and the Global “Harmonization” of Supplement Laws

My personal belief is that ultimately, this all has to do with the Codex Alimentarius process of globally "harmonizing" bureaucratic regulations concerning nutritional supplements, as well as with the coming so-called "North American Union" in which the economies and laws of Canada and the U.S. are to be merged, followed by Mexico, then Central and South America, until the corporate globalists have achieved a complete economic "Union of the Americas" that can compete with the European Union.

I know it is difficult for most people to widen their views and see things from a larger global perspective. Most people are too caught up in their daily personal lives, or in trying to figure out who is going to lose in the next episode of American Idol, to see the bigger picture. But the corporate globalists – particularly the big international drug companies -- want complete control over you, as well as your personal health and medical choices. And they are simply taking it, one step at a time.

I've stated this before, but it bears repeating: Only ten short years ago, when I used to attend the big health shows in major cities where all of the natural health companies came together to display their wares, most of the companies who came were run by former hippies, or herbalists, or were little "mom and pop" natural health care operations, or were otherwise really laid-back individuals who had a sincere interest in promoting natural health as a means of changing the world for the better.

Today, when I attend these same big health shows, they are filled with nothing but corporate suits and stuffed shirts. I'd wager that half of the companies displaying their wares at these big "natural health" events are subsidiaries of the major drug companies.

The old-timers, and the mom-and-poppers, and the sincere "Dr. Christopher" herbalist types are all being squeezed out of the picture.

Soon, the very people responsible for today’s institutional medical nightmare are going to be responsible for your natural health care choices, too. And you will only be able to get what they want to offer you. And they won't offer you anything that competes with their pharmaceutical industry "upline."

Okay. Enough ranting. The handwriting is already on the wall for those who care to see it.

In the meantime, my personal goal is to help put the means of colloidal silver production into the hands of as many American families as possible, before commercially sold colloidal silver preparations are banned altogether.

And believe me, that ban is coming.

But once you own the means of colloidal silver production, the medical bureaucrats can never take colloidal silver away from you. You can make all you want, any time you want, for just pennies per quart. In fact, you can make it so cheaply, you can literally afford to give it away to people around you who may be in need, such as friends, family members, co-workers, members of your church or fellowship, etc.

That's why I urge everybody to own a colloidal silver generator, whether you buy one from The Silver Edge, or from someone else's company. Just do yourself a favor, and get one.

As Dr. Bob Beck used to say, the only way to "take back your health" is to own the means of production. That's why he invented so many self-treatment devices. Same with Hulda Clark. Once you own the means to protect your health, you are no longer completely dependent upon the whims of the medical bureaucrats who can ban any substance, at just about any time.

A “Test Case” to Shut Down Colloidal Silver Distributors?

A "Test Case" to Shut Down Colloidal Silver Distributors?

A company called Utopia Silver has been one of the most respected colloidal silver distributors in the United States for many years. Now the FDA is pushing the Texas health bureaucrats to shut them down, using them as a "test case" (see article below by Tony M. Isaacs titled "A Trial Down in Texas May Be Vital to Us All") so they can have the precedent they need in order to justify shutting down other colloidal silver distributors across the U.S.

We have long warned this day was coming. It is why you absolutely MUST get a colloidal silver generator from http://www.thesilveredge.com/, so you will have the means of colloidal silver production in your hands. That way, the medical bureaucrats cannot take away your right to use colloidal silver, because you'll be able to make your own safe, high-quality colloidal silver any time you need it.

If you are not as familiar with colloidal silver usage as you'd like to be, then get a copy of the brand new, studio-quality 60-minute Colloidal Silver Secrets video (available in DVD and VHS) while it is still on sale for under twenty bucks from Life & Health Research Group, Inc. (http://www.lifeandhealthresearchgroup.com/).

Your right to know about the powerful infection-fighting and immune-boosting qualities of colloidal silver and how to use it are under fire. But obtaining a safe, high-quality colloidal silver generator solves everything. Once you own the means of colloidal silver production, the bureaucrats cannot rob you of your right to use colloidal silver and make your own health-care decisions.

So do yourself a favor and read the below article, and then take the following four actions:
  1. Learn how to make your own colloidal silver with an inexpensive home colloidal silver generator by reading about it at http://www.thesilveredge.com/

  2. Watch a FREE video demonstration of the new Micro-Particle Home Colloidal Silver Generator in the Video Bar of this blog (right hand side of page), or go to www.TheSilverEdge.com/vidclip.shtml and watch it there.

A Trial Down in Texas May Be Vital to Us All
Tony M. IsaacsBy Tony M. Isaacs
December 21, 2007
Events appear to be marching slowly but surely towards a trial in Texas which may have major implication for all of us regarding our freedom of access to dietary natural health supplements. The conflict began as result of an FDA complaint five years ago that seeks to set a precedent for how much control the FDA has over all natural supplement companies. It pits Utopia Silver, a small natural supplement company and maker of colloidal silver which I consult to, against the Goliath of the FDA and the World Pharma lords the FDA serves.

Much like the Alamo defenders in days gone by, this small company and it's supporters of health freedom are pitted against a corrupt giant determined to impose it's will and stifle freedom - and, just like the Alamo and the struggles that followed, the outcome may effect the freedom and future of millions.

Five years ago, about the same time that the FDA began renewed targeting of colloidal silver because of it's effectiveness as a natural anti-biotic and rising popularity - and not coincidentally as a threat to the profits of Big Pharma and mainstream medicine - the FDA sent an email to the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS ) essentially complaining that Utopia Silver was making medical claims which, in the eyes of the FDA turned their supplements into drugs. The TDSHS then brought the complaint to the Officer Texas Attorney General (TAG).

It has since been determined that among the targeted objections are: having medical terms such as cancer, hepatitis, diabetes, etc., posted anywhere on the website; having any medical terms in a search engine, and the posting of testimonials from customers who had taken any company products and defeated or improved any medical condition.

Such restrictions appear to be clear violation of the First Amendment (Freedom of Speech) of the Constitution of the United States of America, especially the prohibition against posting testimonials and speaking the truth about how people believe that dietary supplements have helped them.

If the FDA is to have their way, a person seeking a natural dietary supplement for any medical condition would not be able to go to any website which offered vitamins, minerals, natural supplements or any other alternatives to mainstream medicine and be able to find that term in a search of the site or mentioned anywhere in the site. Neither would they be able to find testimonials from anyone who had used an alternative to FDA approved drugs and medical procedures.

Last spring, the Assistant Texas Attorney General in charge of the case, Raul Noriega, first agreed and then reneged on an oral agreement that would have settled the case. When asked why Noriega's only response was that he was told by higher ups to proceed to trial despite the prior agreement to settle.

Last summer, TDSHS employees paid three visits to the Utopia Silver offices and lab locations, and asked to make inspections. The first time, two TDSHS officers paid a visit. One identified himself as an "inspector" and the other as an "investigator". The owner of Utopia Silver, Ben Taylor, asked to see credentials so he could make a copy. When they refused he turned them away.

The next day they returned, accompanied by two Texas State Troopers, and said they had a warrant. When Taylor demanded to see it, they again refused, saying he could go to Austin if he wanted to see it and threatening to arrest Taylor if he did not comply. At that point, Taylor began placing a phone call to the local sheriff, and the TDSHS employees and State Troopers beat a hasty retreat. It was later determined that no properly executed affidavit ever existed.

Two days later the TDSHS empoyees returned for a third time, just ahead of a Sheriff's Deputy. Taylor told them that since he was expecting the deputy to be there that morning to take statements about their activities day before, he would talk to them after he spoke to the deputy. He told the two TDSHS men to wait outside until the deputy took statements from four employees who had witnessed what had transpired the previous day.

In the middle of the first statement," said Taylor, "the investigator came in asked to speak to the deputy. The deputy followed him to the lobby and I followed right behind. The TDSHS man asked if I was going to comply with the warrant for an inspection. I again told him that I would talk to him when I finished with the deputy." He then proceeded to say that since I was refusing his inspection," Taylor continued, "would I sign a document stating that I refused inspection, and I said no and they left. After that, we finished giving our statements to the Sheriff deputy and so far they have not been back."

Most recently, they have continued to stonewall and refuse to answer questions or otherwise attempt to make clarifications requested by Ben Taylor in accordance with the presiding judge's request for both sides to work together to try to work out an agreement. When Utopia Silver asked why they were being singled out for such actions and nothing was happening to similar companies, Assistant Attorney General Noriega said that "someone" had decided to make Utopia Silver a test case. After he made the statement, he was interrupted by the TDSHS officer, who, according to Taylor "proceeded to hem and haw on that point, obviously not comfortable with that statement having been made by the Assistant Attorney General."

While the Texas Attorney General's office may try to contend that this is merely a state action "to insure the safety of the citizens of the State of Texas", the truth is that in Texas the state attorney generals are commissioned as officers of the FDA and there is no denying that the investigation into Utopia Silver began as a result of an FDA complaint.

The outcome of the trial could have huge implications for thousands of similar companies as well as for the many millions of U.S. citizens who choose to use natural dietary supplements.
Although not publicized until today, already many individuals and organizations are aware of this FDA led outrage and are anxiously waiting to see how it unfolds. Among them is an associate of Aaron Russo's who has indicated that they want to include the case in an upcoming documentary.

Before all is said and done, there are likely to be many more interested parties join the fray in support of Utopia Silver and the issues at stake in the case. It could well be that the Texas Attorney General and those who are really behind the lawsuit may find that Utopia Silver has more friends and supporters than they have imagined possible.

The Texas Constitution
Article 1 - BILL OF RIGHTS
Section 8 - FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND PRESS; LIBEL

Every person shall be at liberty to speak, write or publish his opinions on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of that privilege; and no law shall ever be passed curtailing the liberty of speech or of the press.
