How Colloidal Silver Healed a Massive “Chile Bean Blister” on the Roof of My Mouth

Sometimes, people do the stupidest things when they’re eating a meal composed of food they really, really like. 

By “people,” I mean me.  And by “stupid” I mean burning the roof of my mouth with hot food until it blistered.

Last week wife Kathy made her famous slow cooked Chile Beans with Bison Meat.

Screwed the Pooch

The bottom line is, after dinner I knew I’d really screwed the pooch, so to speak.    

The great big blister that had formed on the roof of my mouth popped.  And it left a bunch of skin attached and hanging down.  And quite literally, I had to use my fingers to rip the hanging skin from where it was attached to the roof of my mouth.  Ouch.

Now I’ve burned the roof of my mouth once or twice before back when I was a much younger man.  The last time I can remember was from the hot, bubbling cheese on a great big slice of freshly-made pizza I’d bit into. 

So I know from experience that it usually takes a good week or more to heal these nasty roof-of-the-mouth burns, especially if they blister. 

But this time I’d really blown it. 

This was quite literally the worst roof-of-the-mouth burn I’d ever suffered.  And I knew I needed to use something that was going to trigger rapid healing, or I’d be unable to eat anything but cold soup for the rest of the week.
